The clock is small, easily portable for packing or to display in an unobvious spot. The numbers are large enough to read from a distance. I thought the clock would make a ticking sound, but it is silent. The first day I had it, I kept glancing at it to be sure it was working because it was silent. It needs a AA battery for power, which easily slides in the compartment with a cover on it so I don't worry about the battery falling out. This could be easily used for travel, I use it in my office to have a time source other than my phone. The white color gives it a crisp look, so it easily blends in to the decor. Written by my wife. I needed three small basic clocks for a classroom. Here are the issues-one, they are not small… They are tiny. Second, they are so cheaply made that the plastic piece that supposedly holds in the battery doesn’t even click closed so it just sits there. Third, one of the clocks I received Had a bent alarm hand and ran slow with a brand new battery. Not worth it to hassle a return so I’m just chalking it up till you get what you pay for. Read more
