The waistband does not dig in at all. Panty does not ride down but stays in place for the most part. There is plenty of front coverage. I would call these mid rise IMO. They are high quality, as Jockey should be, and will hopefully last me a couple years. They come in nice colors as well. I really wish the gusset was 100% cotton and hopefully they will do this in the future. I wear thin barely there panty liners with these thongs (not specifically made for thongs) and they do they job wonderfully. They do not ride up my behind and leave me with the uncomfortable thong wedge (IYKYK). I find the sizing to very consistent with other Jockey thongs with the exception of their lace thongs that I always have to get a size down due to them being too big in the waist. I do not like my panties too be big or small and these fit perfectly. If you are looking for something that sucks you in more I would suggest going with their EcoSeamfree Rib Thong or EcoSeamfree in your current Jockey size.
