This JODSONE Upgraded 3-in-1 Cat Eye Magnet Nail Art Tool is a simple but essential addition if you enjoy doing cat eye gel polish designs at home. I picked this up specifically to help create those magnetic effects. The tool is a nice size and comfortable to hold, which makes it easier to control where you want the magnetic pull to go. The different magnet ends (cylindrical and ball) give you flexibility to create different patterns and effects. Most importantly, the magnet itself has a strong pull, which is key for getting that crisp cat-eye look. There is a bit of a learning curve with cat eye polish in general; I needed a few tries to get the process down, but having a strong, well-made magnet like this makes it much easier to achieve the effect you’re going for. Overall, this is a great quality tool at a good value. If you’re working with cat eye gel polish, this is a necessity for your nail art kit. Read more

I enjoy doing my nails at home because it’s a cost‑efficient way to keep them looking nice. It also allows me to experiment with new trends whenever I want. I love trying out different techniques and styles without having to go to a salon or spend tons of cash. Recently, I noticed that the cat eye nail technique has been making a comeback. The free magnets that usually come with magnetic polishes haven’t worked very well for me in the past, so I was excited to try this dedicated tool. It includes three different magnets, each creating a unique cat eye effect depending on which one you use. This makes it easy to switch up the look and get more creative with my manicures. The tool itself feels lightweight in hand, but it’s still very sturdy and well made. It doesn’t feel flimsy at all, which makes it comfortable and easy to use. It’s a great upgrade from the basic magnets and a helpful tool for anyone who enjoys doing magnetic nail designs at home. Read more

I picked this up because the standard rectangular magnets that come free with cat-eye polish are usually too weak or only good for making a single straight line. I wanted to try the trendy "velvet" and S-curve designs, which require a magnet that can push the glitter in different directions. This tool offers way more control. Unlike a flat bar that pulls glitter towards it, the ball tip seems to push the magnetic particles away. This is exactly what you need to create that "black hole" effect or to push the glitter to the edges for a French tip look. It is noticeably stronger than the basic wands. You don't have to hold it over the nail for 30 seconds; the design appears almost instantly. Tip: Because it's strong, keep it moving. If you hover in one spot too long, it will pull all the glitter to a single clump. This is perfect for the S-curve or "snake" design. You just hover it over the side of the nail and slowly drag it down. It gives a much softer, more organic curve than the sharp lines of a bar magnet. It’s shaped like a pen, which makes it much easier to hold steady than a tiny plastic rectangle. If you are struggling to get your cat-eye polish to look like the pictures online, the problem is likely your magnet, not the polish. This tool gives you the precision to actually "draw" with the magnetic particles. Highly recommended for DIY nail art. Read more

I have been having such good luck with this brand lately and these magnets are no exception! It comes with a double sided wand magnet as well as a round ball magnet. They are nicely powerful and work beautifully for magnetic gels as well as polishes. Please keep in mind, learning to use magnetic products and magnets takes time and quite a bit of practice. I often see people poorly review magnets and magnetic gels and polishes, and then when I read the review it is clear that the problem is user error. I cannot speak for all products, but if you are experiencing issues with these particular magnets, it most definitely is user error. These are good quality, powerful and function exactly as they are supposed to. They are also a very nice value for what you receive. I am very happy to have added these to my collection and I definitely recommend them! Read more

I played around quite a bit with this little wand both with and without the ball attached and was able to get a number or really nice effects, I found pulling from the sides especially effective. I tried with a couple of different gel cat eye polishes to good effect so I believe this would be effective with any magnetic cat eye polish, gel or regular. I keep the magnet 1-2 mm from the nail and either move slowly or hold in place for 10-15 seconds depending on the effect I am going for. I did both flash and final cures in my large UV/LED lamp but I feel sure you could flash cure to preserve your design with a pen lamp. This is a nice tool to hold and work with and I do love the addition of the little ball. Read more

The slim cylindrical magnet and the ball magnet pen make it easy to experiment with different cat eye effects, from sharp lines to soft, galaxy-style swirls. Having multiple magnet shapes in one tool is convenient, especially for DIY nail art at home. The magnets feel strong enough to quickly pull the metallic particles in cat eye gel polish into distinct patterns. I noticed that designs form clearly within seconds, which helps save time and reduces smudging. The tool itself is lightweight and comfortable to hold, which is helpful when working on detailed designs. It’s compact enough to store easily with other nail supplies, too. Read more
