Great for the price

Great overall jacket. I am still looking for something more in leather for around town. This fit well according to the size chart both with and without the liner. Fits according to the chart with the pads in. Zippers are easy to unzip with one hand but require two hands to zip back up. (not a big deal). I like the gray color as it provides a bit more visibility at night without relying on the reflective material. The inner webbing liner in nylon and get get a bit hot quickly and if not moving. It is very loose inside for movement but it also tends to bunch up now and then (using without the liner). Pockets: has inside pocket that is not dependent on the liner, nice. standard hand-warmer pockets. There is a pouch like pocket on the lower back exterior. Its nice for a small book or some power bars. Not sure I would put anything bulky that close to my spinal column though. My only gripe is the amount of "joe rocket" logos. Ugh! its obsessive. I am working on removing most of them with a enough care to not damage the jacket itself. These logos are all over and make you feel like you should be paid for advertising. There are 9, yes 9!, emblems on the outside that say either "rocket", "joe rocket", or "R". Exterior material is a thick mesh type (if that is correct term?). There is no leather even though the pics may make it look as such. Cool and Warm enough when you need. a god touring jacket for sure. Read more

Do not expose to temperatures above 40°C

Ravenna WolfeOctober 3, 2022✓ Verified purchase

Or at least, that's what the laundry directions say - cold water only, hand wash, line dry, no iron, no bleach, do not expose to over 40°C. Glad I didn't buy it when I lived in Phoenix! It's fine for the Bay Area though, lots of misty mornings and sunny afternoons where it keeps me dry, warm, and cool respectively. Pictured - pocket on bottom of back, reflective stripes on shoulderblades and sleeves, adjustable waist strap, and zippers to remove elbow and shoulderpad armor. Not pictured, POCKETS, cozy and snug inner lining, double front zippers for keeping it closed over your straining beer belly, mesh-and-velcro inner foam pad spine "armor" pocket, and zippers that open up the front a bit to allow a nice breeze to flow over your nips. Jokes aside, it's comfortable and sturdy; my helmet sits well in the collar, I can hold my gloves and keys and wallet and registration and probably a sandwich in the pockets, and I get to work dry from the waist up which is all anyone cares about in Zoom or Teams. Great Jacket, good price

SteveOctober 27, 2017✓ Verified purchase

First off, I love this jacket. I had an older Joe Rocket that has lasted forever but it was time for a new one. I'm 6'3" 220lbs and I first got the XL which was tight in the torso and too short on the arms. I sent it back and got the XXL which fits great. I'm normally an XL guy so keep that in mind when ordering. This jacket has very formidable padding in the shoulders, elbows, and back. The textile is thick and feels very stiff which I like because it feels safe.I rode to work today and the temp was 39 degrees F and I didn't feel cold at all. The jacket breaks the wind and the liner does a good job of keeping me warm. I've used this jacket up to 80 degrees without the liner and it felt too hot if I got below highway speeds for long. The zippered sleeves by the wrist are nice because it keeps the jacket tight around your wrist when riding but it's easy to unzip to remove the jacket. I'm worried about the zippers because they sometimes feel flimsy but I haven't had any issues yet. I ride daily as a commute so I'll get a lot of wear out of this jacket and I expect to get at least 4 years out of it. Read more

Nice textile jacket. This is my second Joe Rocket jacket. Fits well and comfortable out of the box, but over time it breaks in even better. Lots of features/vents and is stylish. Read more

Feels, Fits and Looks Great.

RP MeggsSeptember 14, 2017✓ Verified purchase

I am 5ft 9in. Stocky build. 44 chest. Almost went with the large but have another Joe Rocket jacket that fits pretty good and it's extra large so that's what I went with for this one. Fit is perfect for me. Perfect 3 season jacket. The liner feels really good next to my skin but the ends of the cuffs sometimes catch a little on my hands sticking them through the sleeves. Not a big issue. Looks and comfort are top notch. Zippers all glide smoothly and it's a fairly heavy, substantial piece of gear. I would have liked to have adjusters on the cuffs but they are still tight enough to not catch the air so also not a deal breaker. Now having tried this jacket and knowing it I have no regrets making the purchase. Definitely got a good value for the money. Read more

Great looking jacket and warm for New England!

SRC07300February 26, 2020✓ Verified purchase

I can’t believe how FAST this arrived!! Like 1 day from MA to VT. Needed a good quality jacket and have read great things. Very comfy. Love that the thermal liner is removable. I can’t wait to wear it this season! UPDATE: My first test run of this jacket was amazing! We had a warmish day on March 30th, 2020 and so I decided to take my new bike and my new jacket for a spin. I was SO warm, and if you’re used to riding, you know the temperature drops significantly when you’re about 50mph and above. My whole body was warm, except for my legs (cause I had on jeans) and my hands (towards the end of the ride and the sun started to set). But other than that, I am VERY happy with my purchase. Highly recommend. Also, if you’re more of a broad female like me (a little heavier, wide shoulders and waist), I would recommend this jacket over the female one, which is more fitted. I tried one on and it was quite restrictive in the chest and arm area. But still a great jacket none the less. If I was slimmer, I would definitely get the women’s jacket. Read more

This is a well made and super comfortable jacket. I love the front and back ventilation, it really is a 3 or 4 season jacket. It’s cut perfectly for motorcycle riders, especially sport bikers. It’s a great jacket especially for the money. Read more
