I like having nightlights around for visibility as well as so it's not so dark at night, especially in bathrooms. These ones have the added options of a character image etched onto an acrylic plate which looks great, especially when used in conjunction with the color choices. Having the dusk to dawn feature means never having to worry about turning it on and it worked like a charm. The majority of the light comes from the base of the nightlight and then there is a smaller amount of light on the image itself. My daughter loves night lights so we decided to evaluate this one. The night light itself plugged in easily and has a sensor so that it knows if the room is illuminated or not to avoid keeping on during the day or while the room lights are on. The quality of the light is comparable to other similarly priced night lights. You can also adjust the color of the LED based on your / your child's preference which is a nice bonus. In the evening my daughter chose to use a red led color and while her lights were off, it did a good job of illuminating her room.
