The media could not be loaded. I spent a lot of time trying to determine whether or not the various pairs of sunglasses I’ve been looking at are actually honest about the features they have or not. I’ve been looking specifically for a dark tinted, polarized pair of sunglasses with UV400 protection to protect me from strong sunlight and glare that I experience outside. I found these Joopin glasses online and decided, considering the price and another favorable review I read elsewhere, that I would give them a shot. I also decided my eyesight is worth the extra money however, and devised an experiment with a UV test card, UV light and my computer screen to test its claims. The polarization test is easy enough to perform, you simply rotate your glasses facing an LCD monitor and if it darkens at a certain direction, they are polarized. The UV test I performed involved taking the glasses so they covered half the UV test card, and then running a UV light over the test card and comparing the results with the bare portion of the card. Well, I am happy to report these Joopin glasses performed fantastic in both regards! As the attached video can attest to, the glasses not only darkened considerably (showing a strong polarization) on the LCD screen, but they also block essentially all of the UV radiation on the UV test card,l. I can’t prove that they are technically “UV400” rated, but judging by the UV test, they block >=99% of UV and that’s good by me! As to the build quality of these glasses, I can say that I am happy with them. They are comfortable and cover my face well. They are a bit smaller on my face than I expected, but I can’t fault them for that. The glasses also come with a black bag, microfiber cloth, and small test card of their own to test your glasses with. These sunglasses really surprised me. I’m rough on my glasses and usually end up breaking, scratching, or losing them, so I stopped buying expensive pairs. These look stylish, feel comfortable, and the lenses give clear vision without being overly dark. The tint is just right for driving, running errands, or being out in the sun for a while. They fit well and stay in place without feeling tight or flimsy. The matte black finish looks clean and modern, and I like that they don’t feel cheap even though the price is low. My mother-in-law has the same pair in the glossy finish and hers look just as nice. If they were a little heavier, they might feel more premium, but overall, these are exactly what I wanted. They look good, protect my eyes, and I don’t stress about losing them. I’ll definitely be ordering a few more pairs in other styles to try em' out. Read more

I was surprised at the clarity of these. I had recently bougt an expensive brand for driving and wanted something to excercise in that I didn't mind treating a little rough. The lense were more than I expected as far as quality. They seem to be well made. Only time will tell. But so far so good. Very stylish, comfortable, and good price. Read more

I'm hard on sunglasses, so I don't buy expensive ones (I also often loose them!). This pair not only works well and have the style I like, but are very durable! I love them. Lost one pair and bought another. Might buy a back-up to keep my glove box! Read more

The highest quality lens coatings I've found on a pair of cheaper mirrored sunglasses. These can take a decent amount of abuse without visible scratches or deterioration of the coating. The amount of packaging waste is really high though. Read more

Don't get me wrong, these are good sunglasses. They have the classic wayfarer look and do a decent job of blocking out sunlight. I've bought a couple pairs throughout the years, but the amount of waste you receive for just 2 sunglasses is truly astounding. I would happily pay the same price to get 2 sunglasses in a cardboard box. Do we really need a keychain, carrying case, microfiber cloth all individually wrapped in plastic? Read more

These are very nice sunglasses for the price I am very happy I got them the only thing is they are very Tight behind the ears!! Trying to figure out how to fix that if it's even possible.... Hopefully somebody has suggestions on this...??? Read more
