This is really an excellent espresso machine that's been a pleasure to use (and drink) for a couple months now. I was particularly impressed with the excellent build quality; it's a beautiful looking machine that complements our kitchen well, but even better, it's actually made from weighty and nicely finished parts, so the quality isn't just surface level. The tamper is milled from a solid block of aluminum, the steam spout is thick and all the buttons and knobs feel great. The built-in grinder is really convenient to have and works every bit as well as a stand-alone unit does, and it really brews a great tasting cup of espresso, which is the most important part. This is the first espresso machine I've owned, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but it tastes great, looks great and hasn't given me any issues in the couple months I've been using it, so all around, I'd say it's a winner and would recommend giving it a try to anyone on the fence about it. This espresso machine can give you good espresso if you have the patience to work with it. The grinder is meh and is hard to remove beans from if you want to switch them out. You have to resort to using a vacuum cleaner or else you have to waste a bunch of new beans trying to flush out the old ones. The adjustment steps are also not particularly fine, and I would recommend going with a dedicated grinder for better results. Also, the plastic holder for the portafilter doesn't actually support the weight when it is full of grounds, and I found out the hard way the first time I ground coffee when it dropped out and spilled grounds everywhere. You also have to kind of finagle it out or else the mound of grounds gets scraped away from the top while you remove it. If you want to use the built in grinder, it is better to measure out your single dose because I've gotten anywhere from 17 to 19 grams of coffee from the same double grind setting. The portafilter uses a non-standard three-prong mount on a 58mm basket, so you can't use aftermarket portafilters. It is a very tight fit and I have to brace my body against the machine so that it doesn't move while I wrench the portafilter in and out of the group head. It's nice that it comes with both single and double walled baskets in both single and double shot capacities. The steamer is pretty bad on this machine. You can't get steam on command, but rather you need to flip it to steam and wait for it to build enough pressure to release it whenever it pleases. This can mean standing around for a minute or two holding your cup to the steam wand while nothing happens. This also means that cleaning the wand by steaming into a towel becomes slow and awkward. The single hole nozzle also doesn't steam particularly well compared to the multi hole nozzles found on other machines. Overall, the machine is usable, but your money is probably better spent on getting individual components of higher quality. It'll produce mediocre-tasting shots that need to be masked by milk, so if you like straight espresso then you may want to look elsewhere. Read more

The Joy Pebble Espresso Machine has quickly become my go-to for everything from perfect morning lattes to hot cocoa for my little one. It’s surprisingly easy to use, even for someone who’s not a professional barista, and it has enough features to make you feel like one. The 15-bar pressure ensures rich, creamy espresso shots every time. I was impressed by how smooth and flavorful they turned out, especially compared to other machines I’ve tried. The built-in grinder with 30 precision settings is a game-changer for coffee lovers—it lets you customize your grind to get the exact flavor profile you want. Whether you like it bold and strong or light and delicate, this machine can handle it. The milk frother is another highlight. It’s easy to use and creates that silky, frothy goodness that takes cappuccinos and lattes to the next level. My lattes feel indulgent, and my kiddo’s hot cocoa gets a fancy, frothy top that makes them feel like they’re sipping something from a coffee shop. Maintenance is a breeze, thanks to the removable water tank and easy-to-clean components. It doesn’t take up much counter space, which is great if you’re working with a smaller kitchen setup, and the sleek design adds a nice touch to your coffee corner. Bottom line: This espresso machine is versatile, reliable, and simple enough for everyday use while offering enough features to satisfy a coffee connoisseur. Whether you’re making cocoa, cappuccinos, or just a quick espresso, it delivers consistently great results. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their coffee game! Read more

I wanted to love this, but I can’t. At this price it may be a value if you prefer lattes or other espresso drinks that have a lot of milk because the espresso it makes is not the greatest. I was a barista for many years, so I am not a novice and I did not expect this to produce a shot as good as a machine that cost thousands. I did hope for a machine that is worth the counter space it takes up. Pros: It’s very good looking It comes with great instructions The size is compact considering it has a built in grinder Grinder is easy to adjust and grinds uniformly The tools are a good quality The water tank is easy to fill It’s easy to clean Cons: -If you grind directly into the double portafilter,as you withdraw it so much of the coffee falls out, you’ll need to grind more. You can just grind it into a bowl and spoon it into the filter. -Steamer is erratic and weak. Pressure has to build up after you pull a shot, so you’ll want to steam the milk first or your shot will get cold. It does a poor job of frothing with its low pressure and only one hole. -Brew temp of water is 170,results in a 140 degree shot. I did try the suggestions in the instructions to improve the espresso results- adjusting the grind, prewarming, and three different roasts.Perhaps you will have better results because if you do there is value for this price if you drink flavored/milky drinks.
