I love this razor! I usually use men's razors because I always felt like they gave a closer and smoother shave and women's razors seemed to fall apart and get dull fast and of they had any kind of moisture/aloe strip they only lasted the first or second use. This razors is sharp! Gives you a close and smooth shave with no razor burn or ingrown hairs. It has a good weight to it and I love the grip of the handle because I usually drop my razor. I've been looking for a new razor for quite a while. I've tried several brands over the past year ranging from very inexpensive to rather pricey. I tried 3 blade and 5 blade. The first couple of shaves, they mostly gave a similar experience in closeness, but some were already getting a bit dull. My criteria: I need it to give a close shave without damaging my skin. It needs to give a consistent result. It needs to feel good in my hand. Preferably non disposable with easy to find replacement blades. An affordable price point and if possible, look pretty in my shower! After all my research, this was my winner! It met all my criteria and more. The only slight con I noticed- being that this particular package does not come with a safety cover. I don't have small children in my home & I don't travel often so not a big deal for me but it could be for some. I even tested how long I could go between shaves. Keeping in mind I have lighter colored hair and it's not thick or coarse. I went 11 days. I started to feel stubble on day 7 and on day 11 I was able to actually see the hair. I think that's pretty darn impressive! Another stand out for me was how good it felt in my hand. It has a little weight to it and is evenly balanced. It's also covered in a grippy rubbery material and doesn't slip out of my hand. There are a few colors to choose from as well. All in all, it was a lengthy search but well worth it in the end. The joy razors are a good buy and work well. I have not had any skin irritation, razor burn and have rarely cut myself with these razors. The razor heads also have good longevity. I ordered these replacements after trying the kit with the handle and have decided to stick with this brand so long as they keep their prices this reasonable. The handle is ergonomic and is rubberized so shaving takes less time and there is less slipping with soapy hands. Read more
