I've wanted a standing desk for some time. I work for many hours each day at my desk and sitting for long stretches is simply not good for our health. I had no desire to buy a new desk, so this item looked great. I read several reviews, from the 5-star, to the very few 1-star. Some complained it was very difficult to lift or get back down or too heavy. The item is indeed heavy - but that makes it extremely sturdy. I keep a lot of heavy items on it and didn't want it to be shaky. I'm extremely impressed with how much it holds (my monitor, miniMac, Alexa, and much more), the variability of height and how well it works overall. I have no difficulty at all getting the desk up and down. I change it several times each day because I don't like to sit for more than an hour at a time. If you hold it carefully on either side while firmly squeezing the device that lets it go up and down, it's really very easy. Great value for the money and really holds up. As for assembly, just take it out of the box and put it on your desk. Couldn't be easier. Read more

Have used this for 4 months and LOVE it. It's the sturdiest platform I've found that allowed me to convert my standard executive desk to a standing desk. The surface is huge with ample space for my keyboard, mouse and notebook. It is very strong and sturdy even when leaning on it. Lifts up and down very easily with the touch of a button. 2nd edit 12/10/23: Seller reached out and acknowledged the issue I mentioned in my review and offered a solution to add bumpers in the corners which seems to solve the problem. EDIT 12/1/23: So I have had this product not even a month and already it makes creaking noises when the desk is in fully lowered mode. This is a good sit to stand desk for a good price I could find. My only qualm is that I can't seem to get it to stay fixed at a low to medium-ish height. Other than that it works well. Read more

I was looking for a convertible standing desk to be able to use on my dining table during the day time. The only downside to the purchase is that the product is quite heavy which makes it difficult to move on and off a desk too frequently which means i may as well have purchased a separate convertible work desk. That being said, the product itself is excellent if you're OK with the weight. The weight means it is quite sturdy. The size is just right to be able to use a laptop with a second monitor.
