We got these for night time potty training. Pull up style trading pants don't work because they are just diapers absorbing the mess, and the kid sleeps through it because they stay dry. The kid feels the wetness in these so they wake up. These hold in the mess if you are careful and get to the tub quickly. Have them take off the PJ pants while standing in the tub or shower then take off these. If you don't, there will be a mess all over the floor. You need to be quick since it is only elastic for a seal and if the kid went a lot and rolls around or pulls them up or down the leg, got will get leaks. It has saved multiple sheet washings, but pant and blankets have needed to be washed. Cheaper than disposable pull up style training pants, but be sure to air dry or they will become disposable. I have been very impressed with these overpants. If it's not a large accident you can wipe out the inside with a wet wipe, but they hold a pretty fair amount of accidents from training pants. (just not very large pees) they hold up really well in the wash as you end up washing them almost daily. the size was good, snug around the legs but not too tight. Read more
Giving these a shot for potty training my son. The material is almost silky but he does complain that they "hurt" I believe it's just him getting use to it not being a pull up. I have checked to make sure that it's not cutting into him or cutting off circulation. There are no marks from the undies on his body. He has had on accident in them and they do seem to be leak resistant but not toddler resistant, hey, can pull on the sides of the diaper, and it leaks out all over the floor. I do wish there was a easier method at removing the messy underwear. Read more
Although these are not 100% completely waterproof, they still work well as swim covers for trips to the pool or if kid isnt completely potty trained and still having small accidents. If you are just starting out in potty training and your kid is peeing lakes and lakes (like ours was) this probably isn't the product for you but overall I don't regret purchasing and still will have lots of uses for them. Hope this helps someone! Read more
The media could not be loaded. These will not work over underwear. There is so much extra fabric that they would not be discreet enough under pants during the daytime. I was hoping my 3yo daughter could wear these over her underwear at night, and if she peed, the wet feeling would help her wake up, and these covers would help contain the mess a bit. She had an accident last night, and she did not wake up - and I don't think the cover helped contain the wetness whatsoever. Her shirt, pants, sheets, pillow, everything was wet. I would only recommend using this over a cloth diaper, and even then I don't know if the waistband is right to keep the wet in. (We did cloth diapers for 2 years, so I have experience there.) I'd probably opt for a classic snap reusable diaper if you're looking for a nighttime solution. We've decided to get a waterproof mattress protector and just limit water before bed. Read more
