This is the best bang for buck case you can get at the moment. It does everything: it protects your Switch 2, it docks easily, the kickstand is fully accessible, and you can take out the Joycons normally. And you get a hard shell with game card storage that makes the whole thing feel very sturdy and protected. I know some other reviewers mention wobbly Joycons, the case fitting loosely at the bottom, and difficulty docking with the case on, but I have not had these issues at all. It docks way easier than my Savage Raven Split Case. The bottom part of the case does seem a little loose, but I haven’t had it detach from my Switch 2 at all. Maybe JSAUX updated their design and manufacturing for this batch of cases. The Joycon grips are very comfortable. I would say that they are a tiny bit smaller than the Savage Raven Neogrip with the Plus grip on. There is some slight creaking sounds when holding the grips, though, but they’re still snug. Some others have had issues with the Joycon grips scratching their ZR/ZL buttons. The best way to avoid this is to install the top of the Joycons first, putting the buttons into the cutouts, then slide the rest in and it will fit snuggly. If you have the JSAUX large capacity carrying case, the whole thing will fit in there, including the hard shell screen cover. I was honestly surprised that it fit so well. I know the Dbrand Killswitch is on a lot of people’s “maybe lists”, but I think this is the best alternative. It’s less expensive and doesn’t require a dock attachment. And of course, the Joycons won’t detach if you’re “holding it wrong”. I know Dbrand is fixing that issue, but I would still choose the JSAUX case. If you’re on the fence about this case, I would go for it and give it a shot, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Read more

The Short : The hand grips (just be careful putting them on) and the front cover are really great, the shell for the screen is really flimsy and often has issues in the dock, but this is a good budget option if you don't want to spend the money on the dbrand version. The Long : The joycon hand grips are really comfortable, the texture is decent, a little rough for my tastes but thats probably not going to be a problem for most. Make sure you put them on correctly as they are known to scratch the joycons. Overall I dont feel any major wiggle or issues that make me feel like the joycons might come off for any reason. The top cover seems sturdy and i like that it has foam on the inside and the cartridge holder, it is built in unlike the dbrand one, which i dont mind. Not much to say here, I have the killswitch travel pack for my steam deck and the top cover from dbrand seems a bit sturdier but i would be worried with the Jsaux one either. Where this kit really fails is the body shell for the screen, it is extremely flimsy and thin, which i assume is so that it fits in the dock, but the bottom portion has a hard time sticking on properly and will sometimes come unclicked when removing from the dock. I've also had problems where the dock gets a little finnicky to connect with the shell on. Conclusion : This is a decent case if you don't want to spring for the dbrand case, or don't want to wait for the dbrand case which was my situation. I will eventually get the dbrand case and pass this one on to someone else. Read more

Build quality felt good and it's by far the best bang for your buck for this style of grip for the Switch 2. It covers the whole thing and adds a nice grip for handheld mode without restricting any of the core system features. I saw some mention elsewhere of the bottom of the main case being lose for some folks, but clicking it in at two anchor points seemed to snug it up a bit - though this had to be repeated each time I removed it from the dock. I think I'll probably be returning it despite this, but that largely comes down to my personal hand ergonomics and how I find myself using my switch. I think my hands may be slightly too small for the grips, or perhaps the added weight of the joy on grips (they're pretty solid) added up more than I expected, but I found my hands getting more fatigued than I expected, despite the comfy grip. I'd say 70/30 docked vs handheld, and really wanted this to be a flexible permanent case with nice grips built in, which it is... but the grips aren't really set up to be taken on and off constantly without scratching the hell out of the joycons or stressing the trigger protection area of the grip plastic. Which is problematic, because while the grips make handheld mode better, I found them way heavier than I liked for using with detached joycons, and you have to remove them to use the stock Nintendo grip that ships with the Switch 2. This is also an issue in any games where you're doing 2-player where each player takes a joycon and holds it horizontally, since the grip actually works against the ergonomicsmon this case. I think this would be a great forever case for someone that has a pro controller for docked mode or someone that primarily plays in handheld mode, but for someone that also needs the flexibility of sharing the joycons or uses them in the stock controller grip, it may be better to go with a cheap/soft 1-piece case for travel or when playing handheld that is easy to take on/off, with an oversized zipper case that can fit it,.and just go caseless at home. So I'd give it 5 stars for what it does at this price point, with the caveat that ergonomics can vary and that this style of grip case may not be the best fit for someone that needs a different joycon setup between docked and handheld modes.
