Judgment is action rpg detective thiller taking place after the events of yakuza starring a disgraced lawyer who turns into a detective to prove himself after a botched case while also taking a intriguing case with many twists and many mysteries to unravel. If you are a fan of the previous yakuza games, what you love is still here. The great intriguing narrative, the funny and serious mixed side quests, and fun minigames are still done well here. Yet it is also great for newcomers to the series as it doesn't require any prior knowledge of the yakuza series to enjoy thanks to its own self contained plot and characters. The only yakuza related things in this game are just references. The game has made a great transition to PS5 as it not only boasts 4K 60fps with shorten load times but also comes with all dlc for the game so you wont miss anything out. Overall, what you are getting is a game with great upgrades for ps5, a long yet interesting and mysterious plot that is enjoyable to unravel, and much content to chew on from side quests to playing on a claw machine for fun. I chose this listing because it showed a US copy of the game, and Instead got a European copy. I was trying to avoid European copies because the last game I bought that ended up being a European Copy had a code for DLC items, and I ended up being unable to redeem it. If you only play one game where you’re a Japanese former attorney turned private detective who is hunting down serial killers game this year, make this the one. At least until the sequel comes out. A fun spinoff of the Yakuza series. I’ve truly enjoyed my time in Kamurocho. Some of the tailing sequences feel less like fun and more like work, but if being a detective hunting serial killers was easy, everyone would do it. It also looks beautiful on the PS5. Five stars. Fantastic game. Good entry point into the Yakuza games if you haven't played them yet. Very good detective/mystery story. Though it has a difficult and time consuming platinum trophy so prepare to play well over 100 hours to get it if you want it. Read more
