I really enjoy paining both my own nails and press on sets, so I was excited to try this Julep nail polish. The shade is a gorgeous, deep berry tone and it goes on like a dream. The brush applies it smoothly and evenly to the nail surface. One coat was very opaque, so a second was not necessary. It dried completely in about ten minutes, It seems to work just as well when using nail art tools, such as a dotting tool and striping brush (please forgive my failed cross hatch design. I don’t have the steadiest hands sometimes). A small pool of it from the brush on a palette is all you need, you don’t want to use too much to avoid excess drying on the palette and going to waste. One thing I noticed when using this polish is that while there is a nail polish scent, it’s not acrid or intense like many brands I’ve used. I really appreciated this as I’m not a huge fan of lingering chemical smells. It also gives me confidence in the product, since harsh chemicals can be damaging to nail beds with long term use. The price is a bit steep, but I do feel that it’s worth the splurge due to the rich pigmentation only requiring a single coat. It will last longer than lacquers that need two or three layers to attain an opaque finish. Read more

[Jan 2026 - My unbiased review of "Julep Quick Drying Nail Color, Fine Wine"] This is very nice quality nail polish in a lovely deep wine color. The coverage is good, and it does dry fast. The instructions state to use a base coat and a top coat. Having done a brief experiment - it definitely does need to have a top coat layered over the polish to keep it from being easily scratched or chipped. So, my little experiment - I first tried it by putting two layers of it on one thumbnail with no base or top coats and then tried scratching the surface with the other thumbnail. I was able to scratch it very easily. I already own a clear base/top coat product, so I removed the scratched polish from my thumbnail with non-acetone polish remover, cleaned all my nails with the same stuff and applied one layer of that clear coat. After it had dried I added a layer of this pretty polish. It only took a minute or two to dry enough for me to add a second coat. Lastly, once it had dried I added one layer of the clear coat. After adding the base and top coat, all was well and it survived my everyday life, including typing, washing a few dishes, etc, for just over a week before I removed it all with ordinary non-acetone polish remover. I should mention that I did add a second layer of top coat every three days. The reason I knocked off one star - Maybe I'm just cheap, but the current price of $14.99 (Jan 4, 2026) seems pretty high when compared to many other polishes. Read more

This is very subtle light brown color. Idk if the color was off on my phone or what but this is much more brown than I assumed it would be. It looked slightly mauve in the pictures. It's really a pastel brown. I think it would be good for work or a professional setting but it's not something my daughters would wear for fun. I think people who are into brown polish would really like it. It does dry fast and I didn't have chipping issues for the weak that I wore it. It honestly is less brown on my nails than the bottle. Much more of neutral color. Like all quick drying polish, I would recommend try to paint one hand a time and then close it, shake it and then the other hand and do it at a brisk pace. If quick dry bottles are open too long they can get thick. So if your polish is a bit thin, leave it open for a couple minutes and try again. I actually prefer quick drying polish to come kind of thin so I can make them thicker myself by letting them dry to the consistency I want. There is also nail polish thinner if it does get thick so don't give up on thick polish. Read more

The Julep Sandy Side Up is true to its claim of fast drying! Other products I've used that says quick/fast dry don't even compare to how quick this Julep product dried! This is my new go to for quick drying neutral nails! I've been doing a gel set, using UV lights to cure for a neutral shade, but I'll be using this more often! You won me over just by the dry time, but the color goes well on me. I'm good with just one coat for a more natural look, but adding a 2nd or 3rd doesn't hurt either. Have had it on for a week now and I'm rough with my hands and tend to pick at my nails (when using non- uv gel and acrylic nails) (esp my thumb) and sure theres scratches, but it's held up really well. Unlike other products that I've managed to chip and peel off completely or from the middle, Julep has maintained wearing at the edges, subtle wearing, nothing drastic like peeling chunks of polish off. Very impressed by this product. Would definitely buy more of this in the future. Read more

Quick-Dry, Glossy Peach Polish That Delivers Julep Quick Drying Nail Color in Just Peachy is a beautiful, soft peach shade that looks fresh and flattering for everyday wear. The color applies evenly and gives great coverage, usually in just one to two coats. It has a clean, polished look that works well for both casual and dressy occasions. One of the best features is how fast it dries. Within minutes, the polish sets without smudging, which is perfect if you’re short on time. The high-shine finish looks almost gel-like without needing a UV lamp, and it feels smooth and professional once dry. The formula is chip-resistant and holds up well with normal daily activities, especially when paired with a top coat. Overall, this nail polish offers great quality, a lovely peach tone, quick drying time, and solid wear—making it a reliable and worthwhile choice. Read more
