My 9yo and 11yo girls are loving it.
I had to force them off of Minecraft to give it a shot. (Saturday mornings are their video game free time). They’ve been playing “Jumanji The Video Game (pt 1) for 2 hours now and they love it. They’re playing two player. The only thing they wished it would let them do is both be Ruby Roundhouse, but of course only one can be her at a time. They've been taking turns each level being her and they’re having a blast. The game did glitch about an hour in saying unknown error and rebooted. It didn’t auto save so they had to start over. I’m not sure if they had reached a save point yet as there are different adventures you can choose from the main menu and they’d switched a few times already. They were bummed but not so much that it discouraged them from starting over. They jumped right back in and worked their way to that level again. On the Nintendo Switch, the game does prompt for parental permission before they can play. I haven’t heard any bad language in it yet so it must be because there is gunfire in the game. They’re obsessed with the movie so I wasn’t worried. Other than hearing gunfire I have seen anything that is concerning at all. Great game for this age group. Our kids are experienced Switch users so they jumped right in. If your little has no or very little Switch game play experience this isn’t a good first game to get them started with but fun once they’re ready. Read more
