Love this sleeping bag. It arrived vacuum sealed and regained its size within a few hours. Kept me nice and cozy in my tent when it was approximately 45 degrees. I prefer this style of sleeping bag where the bottom extends to the head, rather than styles that run across the shoulders because this style provides extra head cushion and warmth! The zippers were smooth and easy to pull and the bag rolled up easily and compact as well. I didn't have any problems putting it back in the bag. My kiddo also loves using it at home as well. There is a lot to like about this bag, it has some very nice points. I think the description though, leaves something to be desired. Sleeping bags usually have 2 or 3 ratings, usually two matter. The first rating is what temperature the bag is COMFORTABLE in. Nobody WANTS to be cold when using a sleeping bag! We want to sleep comfortably, right? That' the more important rating--this bag is a 46 degree F, 8C bag, on its own. The 2nd/3rd ratings are usually Survival temp rating, as in, what temperature will this bag KEEP YOU ALIVE in.... That's a far cry from comfortable for sure! You will be cold at the Survival rating, but you'll probably live. This bag has an EXTREME(-8C/17F) and a LIMIT(0C/32F) rating. That means that if you're camping in SUB FREEZING weather, this bag alone is not going to be comfortable. The text description literally says: "It can ensure a warm and comfortable sleeping environment in zero degree temperatures" --not at all accurate and VERY misleading. You won't see the REAL values for this bag unless you look at all the pictures. Lister should CORRECTLY list capabilities and NOT suggest something not accurate. But, let's talk about the bag and it's carrying sack. I'm impressed! First, the sack has two compression straps with 4 compression buckles. This is one of the better sacks I've seen! Very compressible. You can keep cinching at the buckles and really get this down to a very reasonable size, without tearing the sack apart. The bag itself--very spacious, roomy. I'd go as far as saying HUGE! Typically, you want a bag that's properly sized for YOU, but, with an extra large bag like this, you have some really good additional things you can do like adding a sleeping bag liner. With the spaciousness of this bag, you can literally insert a whole other regular sleeping bag inside and dramatically increase the overall warmth of this sleep system. You're not going to likely be able to get this bag to be a 0 degree bag though, unless you're going to use another VERY warm bag as an insert. But, that's OK. Adding another 40-50 degree F bag will bring this system into the 30 degree range. Which ain't bad! Overall, I like this bag, and will appreciate it in many camp outs. Don't forget, while having a well rated bag helps comfort alot, you REALLY want to make sure you have good insulation from the ground. You'd be surprised at how warm a medium range bag can be when it's put atop a good mattress and padding. Read more

Following a cold night outside with the VESPERBUDDY Camping Sleeping Bag, I'd rate it average at best. It gets the job done, but it's not the best sleeping bag that I've ever slept in. The embossed soft polyester is pleasant enough, and it's pretty comfortable, so it won't be scratchy against the skin, which is a real bonus. It's waterproof, too, but I wouldn't rely on it in too much water, perhaps a light drizzle but not a hard storm. One of the highlights is the two-piece zipper, which allows you to unzip the bottom half if you want to stick your feet out. This is helpful for a person of my height—I'm 6 feet tall—who likes to have one foot out at night when it's too hot in the middle. The zippers are acceptable, although I would have liked them to be slightly thicker because they used to get caught sometimes, which was annoying. There's a handy pocket inside the sleeping bag for easy access and to place your phone or wallet. Size-wise, it's very spacious, even for two big people or three little kids, so there's plenty of room for most. I live in deep South Texas, so our winters are very mild, but I'd be a little skeptical if this sleeping bag would keep you warm in freezing temperatures. It did keep me warm in somewhat chilly weather, but I would not count on it in extreme cold unless I added layers. Something I liked about it is its versatility. Unzipping it all the way turns it into a blanket, which is useful for keeping several people warm or even at home for a nap. The sleeping bag comes with a handy travel bag, which keeps it secure and in place for convenient transport. Overall, the VESPERBUDDY Camping Sleeping Bag is an excellent choice for weekend campers and warm-weather adventurers. It's comfortable, spacious, easy to carry, and a reasonable companion for everything from outdoor picnics to indoor naps in the heat of the day. The two-slider zipper is an appreciated touch, and the water-resistant fabric adds some protection. While the zippers aren't very long-lived and the extreme cold-weather protection is questionable, it does what it can in moderate use. But if you do plan on doing a serious outside adventure in cold weather, you might have to spend a little more on something a bit more heavy-duty, but if you want a basic, multi-use sleeping bag and don't mind not breaking the bank, this gets the job done.
