My 20-year-old, ragged terrycloth bathrobes had to go. What a surprise to find a beautiful, inexpensive bathrobe that is perfect post-shower (or anytime)! Features I love: the sleeves are extra long, like my arms. Many bathrobes are only 3/4 length. There are ties inside to secure it closed. The pockets are set into the seams and lay forward, the perfect design for actually using them (unlike patch pockets that don't accommodate cold hands). It's wide enough to fully wrap around you; the belt is plenty long, too. It has enough of a "collar" to keep your neck warm without getting in the way, unlike hoods. The colors are beautiful. I bought a coral robe and followed it up with a fuchsia one, so I'd have one to wear while the other is being washed. Speaking of washed, they turn out as soft and fluffy as they are when brand new. They're surprisingly absorbent, a good substitute for my old terrycloth robes. They're exceptionally light weight. Since I couldn't hug my long-distance girlfriend who just had a double mastectomy, I shipped one off to her to act as a "hug" on my behalf. She can't rave about it enough! With very sensitive skin, she can tolerate only lightweight and very soft fabrics. This is now the one thing she wears every morning and evening, loving everything about it. This robe arrived quickly and was well packaged. It looks exactly like the pictures. I’m 5’4” and wearing a small — the fit and length are just right. And while I don’t have much to “cover,” the wrap gives me just the right amount of coverage and feels secure (strings to secure inside and belt outside). The leopard print is chic, the velvet fabric is soft, and my cat approves so much she makes biscuits on it every night. It’s warm enough for crisp mornings and late-night lounging, yet light and never bulky. Best part? It’s the ideal “over-pajamas” robe. No, it’s not the Ritz, but you’ll look perfectly presentable when taking out the trash, watering plants, or answering the door. (I’m no Gladys Kravitz, but still!)
