This sea salt spray has a subtle impact that leaves a little crunchy feel rather than softness. Not wildly mattifying but more towards that end of the radiance spectrum rather than yielding shiney locks. The spray dries relatively quickly. I've applied to my hands and scrunched and found slightly more texture this way. Also found a tiny bit of wave with the good ole loose twist/braid damp hair spritz method. I've only ever found one sea salt spray that I really liked because it actually helped to define my waves without making my hair sticky, but this one isn't bad. It does have a strong scent, kind of floral and musty, but it's supposed to be for men and women so I understand why they didn't make it just a floral or fruity scent. It definitely gives some texture and it can be sticky so use sparingly or with other products that prevent frizz and help with curls. This sea salt spray is fantastic for my wavy hair. I’ve used a lot of salt sprays and this is truly one of my favorites. I love the smell which is clean and fresh. I apply this to damp, towel dried hair, scrunch and let it air dry. This spray doesn’t make my hair crunchy or tangled. It’s soft and still manageable, but the curls are much more defined. Big time happy with this really nice sea spray!! If I want it to stay I sometimes put some hairspray on the dried version. Read more

I've tried many sea salt sprays over the last year and overall I think they are a nice addition to hair care products. They can be used by both men & women. It is a lighter spray designed to add some volume & body. I ordered this one in particular because it has the added benefit of heat protection. It did work to give my very straight fine hair some extra body. I didn't care for the scent ... it smells a little sweet or fruity, not sure exactly but I didn't like it. But the real problem is that the sprayer pump did not work at all! No matter what I tried, nothing came out. Luckily I had a different brand of sea salt spray so I took the sprayer out of that & switched bottles and it worked. If I didn't have the extra bottle, this would have been useless. So while I liked the spray itself minus the scent ... with the pump not functioning, I can only give this 3 stars. Read more

I have fine curly hair, so I'm an expert on volumizing and frizz products. I've found that salt spray works better when my hair isn't squeaky clean; I usually use a dry shampoo at the roots and a salt spray all over. This did a great job taming the flyaways and added a bit of overall volume. While I liked the result, the scent was far too strong for me. It's an overpowering rosewater smell. I was surprised because I'm not overly sensitive to scents, but this was too much for me. I gave the salt spray to my son, who has thick wavy hair. He also thought the scent was strong, but it didn't keep him from using it. He said he liked how the spray helped to define his waves. Despite the smell, I still give this 4 stars, as it proved itself to be a winner on 2 very different types of hair. If you are overly sensitive to perfumes, you may want to look elsewhere, but I think the majority of people will find it tolerable. Read more

Gives nice wavy look to my hair and smells good. Gives volume since I do not use any other heavy products in conjunction with it. Will have a slight rough almost dry feel to your hair but I that has been the case with all sea salt products I have used. Product seems fairly priced and comparable to some of the top brands on the market. Read more

This stuff smells absolutely TERRIBLE! Reminds me of bug spray. So very pungent and potent. I absolutely couldn't withstand it. Had to rewash my hair again right away. No matter how good this stuff may work, it's not worth it for that overpowering scent. Read more

It certainly adds texture. I'm just not a fan of the texture. Whoever said it's not crunchy lied. It's basically natural hairspray, so I use it when I do heatless curls. Great smell! Read more
