Of all the different types of toys, we have never seen our Akita this attached to a toy. She likes squeaks and sounds, but she hates biting squeakers. This toy lets her roll and nudge it all she wants and still make sounds. The only reason we didn’t give it a 5 star was because the noise maker in the center came loose within a day, so it clank around a lot instead of making the funny noise. But we are grateful Amazon was willing to send us a replacement immediately, so our Akita could continue her fun. Read more

This is a great giggle ball and has held up beautifully to my two 6 month old Doberman puppies that chew and play tug of war with it! The open waffle weave design makes it easy for them to hold and the material is soft and safe on their young mouths. And the giggle noises not only entertain the dogs but us as well! I like the safety of no electronic parts and the giggle tube is still intact in the ball--a miracle considering how aggressively these two play with this ball!! The soft material means things aren't going to be broken by it when thrown in your home. All in all a great ball that's held up surprisingly well. I went to order another but they were unavailable. Straight out of the package it was already busted. Not even 1 single giggle. It made a clicking noise when I shook it, which I discovered to be the little noisemaker plastic thingy detatched and rattling around. The opening to where the giggle part is is rimmed with very sharp metal and my dog was managing to get his teeth in there and was bending sections of that sharp edge outward. Besides making it a cutting hazard, it was enlarging the opening so the little sound maker plastic thing was able to come out. I tossed the whole thing out less than 10 minutes after receiving. I would have returned it, but Amazon has gotten horrible about reselling used items regardless of condition and i sure didn't want someone elses furbabies getting hurt. It doesn’t giggle. Just makes an “oink” sound. I gave it 3 stars because my Golden Retriever loves it and slept with it last night and hasn’t destroyed it yet. My dog loves this toy so much. He doesn't play with this one as just a ball. This is his treat ball. We put a medium sized Milkbone treat in it and he has to figure out how to get the Milkbone out. The ball is good quality, flexible plastic and is durable enough to withstand my dog chewing on it to get his Milkbone out. The medium is the perfect size to use as a treat ball because Milkbones and other similar treats can be inserted into the ball but won't just fall out. They are also easy to wash when needed. My dog's first ball lasted at least two years before he managed to chew it enough to crack the plastic. It's a great toy to make your dog think, or just to play with. Read more

Our dogs have only had this for 5 days, with only 2 of them playing with it. It was great while it lasted. Our new puppy loved it, and it kept him VERY occupied. However, our 11 yo GSP could ruin a wet dream. He must've been on a mission to deliberately destroy this thing. Maybe 5 minutes of just chewing and I guess he was able to clamp down on the giggle tube and it no longer giggles. :'( The rest of the ball is fully intact, but the best part is gone. I am ordering a new one, but this one will be placed in the puppy toy bin only. I really wanted to rate this higher, giving it more than 1 star because it WAS loads of fun. Read more

Was pleasantly surprised to see how much our rescue doggy (RIO) loves this toy. It makes a great sound and keeps her busy. She also loves to catch it. Except it has to be from a short distance because it is a bit heavy for long catches. I'm going to check to see if JW offers any other globes that are lighter.
