This controller immediately syncs with ps5 upon connection with a USB c cable and powering the ps5 up. It stays connected, both wired and wirelessly, as of several hours of testing with this controller today. EDIT: On powering down, the controller wouldn't reconnect. I read the instructions, and held down Home for 10 seconds after turning the ps5 back on. After that, it's been rock solid. It now shuts off when I put the ps5 into rest mode, and powers the ps5 up like a standard dual sense when I press the home button when it's off. Giving it 5 stars because the build quality, while being what you expect for 45 dollars, is what you expect for 45 dollars. And the battery is rated for 10 hours which isn't a super long time. It has stayed connected for multiple hours, and after properly pairing, the battery lasts longer. Small issues compared to other budget ps5 controllers that randomly drop connection. Build quality is good enough it doesn't feel like it's going to break in my hands, unlike another budget model I had to return because the other brand kept disconnecting after the first 10 minutes. If you're like me, and on a budget, go with this one. The Victrix by comparison feels about the same in terms of build quality but costs 200 bucks instead of 45. Only difference is texture. The controller is a little smaller than a normal PS5 controller but it connected right away with the charge cord and now it turn the PS5 on without the connection. It has a variety of colors to change hold the light button on the back and pressing either toggle joystick to rotate through. Works ok. I'm not keen on the swapped directional pad and left analog. If the battery gets low, the controller starts severely lagging and even after you plug it in, it will continue to malfunction. You have to turn it off and let it rest. Read more

Nothing special. I’ve bought 4 third party controllers in total for ps5 to compare them. This one is coming in the lowest. Surprisingly it is a decent controller… ps5 just has great budget friendly third party controllers like the ones from IWGAME.
