Love these. It comes as a set of 6 so I will need to buy one more to get the look I want. There is a sheet in the box that kinda has directions for use but there are no explicit assembly directions. It is super simple to figure out but it did take me a second to realize I needed to remove the cap of the lightbulb housing and flip the switch to on. The 4th picture in the listing are all the directions you need but I didn’t see that until after I’d sorted it out. I chose the warm white and it looks lovely. The whole thing is plastic so I don’t know how well these will hold up over time but for now they are great. The look is neutral enough to go with many styles of house designs and landscaping. It is very easy to put together and easy to insert into the ground. The stakes are exactly like the ones you get with things like Xmas lighting decorations. If I could change anything it would be that the stakes were a bit shorter so that it feels more secure in the ground (especially with high winds) or that it had 2-3 length options. The one it comes with is perfect if you have tall grass or flowers or the weather is very temperate. We do have a tornado season where I live so I will more than likely remove these during that window. Not because I fear it as a projectile (it’s very lightweight) but I would worry about it being pulled out of the ground and blown away. One made of metal is of course going to be sturdier and secure but this is a great and easy option at a low cost. Very pretty and functional Tip: if your soil is very firm and you think you’ll need to use a lot of force to push the stake in then I would insert just the stake into the ground first and then attach the top part after. This way you can use as much force as you need to without exerting that force on the most critical part of the whole structure. Read more
These solar lights are attractively styled and look great. The warm white is as described. The auto-on feature works well and comes on at an appropriate level of darkness. (Make sure you open the light and flip the switch or they won't work!) The only real knock I have against them is they are completely plastic at their price, so their long term durability may be questionable. The listing has them as ABS which can fade after prolonged exposure to UV light, which seems like a flaw. That said, the plastic is very nice looking right now and has a nice texture to it, unlike cheaper plastic lights. Overall solid lights! Just wish they were metal for the price. Read more
This pack of 6 solar lights is a great deal. The light is a bright white, and they were able to turn on right out of the box! I was just testing one of them, flipped the switch to on and thought I'd put it back in the box. But to my surprise, the light turned on! As you can see, it was quite bright, even inside in the daytime. The stakes are packaged with the pointy ends pushed up into the stake to save space. Everything was very easy to put together/take apart. The top of the light just lifts off and the on/off switch is up inside the top. Nothing tricky, everything was very straightforward to put together/install. These feel slightly fragile, like the plastic isn't exactly top tier, but at this price, that's to be expected. Even though they don't feel very durable, they certainly look really nice. They are lightweight, but in my experience that doesn't really affect performance in solar lights. I really like the design -- it's interesting and makes them look higher-end than many. I have other ones, and when it's particularly windy, they tend to come off the stake. I find them lying on the ground next to their stakes. I suppose if I didn't want to keep putting them back up, I could glue the pole to the stake (or tape them together). These look GOOD! This six pack of solar pathway lights has brought a pleasant glow to my yard, and they have performed consistently since the first evening I set them out. Each light arrives in separate pieces, and assembling them takes a few minutes, but the parts fit together cleanly. I just need to attach the stakes to the lights. Once the stakes were attached, placing them in the ground required only light pressure. I let them charge through the afternoon, and by dusk they were already shining. The warm white light they produce is gentle yet bright enough to guide you along a walkway or highlight garden edges. The square design gives them a more substantial feel compared to the thin tube lights I have used in the past. They sit firmly in the soil and do not wobble when bumped. The solar panels seem efficient. On a sunny day, they gather enough energy to stay lit well into the night. Even after a cloudy afternoon, they still provide several hours of light. The automatic on and off function works reliably, switching on at dusk without any need for adjustment. Durability has been impressive so far. They have already handled rain and frost without any sign of moisture inside the casing. The ABS material feels sturdy and has not faded or cracked. What stands out most is how easily they blend into the yard during the day and then bring a warm, inviting look once the sun sets. These solar pathway lights look very elegant. For the cost, you receive a set of lights that offer steady performance and add a pleasant touch to outdoor paths and garden areas. Read more
