I was a little skeptical at first, but this heated bed really works. It doesn’t get too hot—just a nice, steady warmth that my dog loves to curl up on when it’s cold. I purchased two of these heaters to use in two large K&H elevated dog cots w/ tents. They really do the trick. They heat well, the dogs seemed to like them right away and they work exactly as described! No heat without pressure and nice and toasty when utilized. My dogs love being outdoors and happily lounge on the lawn when it's 25 degrees, but I like knowing that they have a warm, cozy haven when they want it. Also, just a bid for the aforementioned tents, they are great quality, keeps them off the cold porch and holds the heat as well. I feel sure in saying we will get much use from them as the tent is removable and the separate cot will be perfect on the porch for lazy, hot, humid east Texas summers. Have used this for two winters for barn kitties. The air in the pad keeps it much more comfortable than the other heat pads. Nice even warmth and softness they seem to relish. The whole crew sleeps on this pad, ignoring the other pads. They even like this pad in the summer with no heat. The only "complaint" I have is that it doesn't clean as well as the smooth pads but that's minor. Read more

The dog absolutely loves it!! It's cushy but not overly plush, works indoor and outdoor. Doesn't get too hot but is nice and warm and can be left plugged in. The cover is absolute garbage, it tore and has only single stitching so it doesn't hold up well at all. The instructions say to only use their covers but the quality is so poor on them it's disappointing. This is the second one of these warmers we have purchased for our senior Queensland heeler. He is pretty old and he’s blind so he won’t sleep in the house because he r runs into things. He has half of the garage with extra insulation and many other things to make it comfortable for him. With his advanced age, keeping him warm is essential to his mobility. We used to use a kerosene heater out there but it was so expensive a couple years ago and it was costing over $200 every week and half to two weeks for heating fuel. I bought the first one of these pads and the very first night he was all stretched out on his bed and got up without stiff and sore in the morning. So no more risk from kerosene heater and the huge expense. And he was warmer with the pad. It worked great all last winter. Late spring I cleaned it thoroughly and put it away where it wouldn’t get damaged. The only problem is I don’t remember where that is. So we finally just said we’d get a new one and when we find the other one we’ll have a back up just in case. This one came with a different cover and because he tosses and turns a lot I added a couple of elastic straps to the back to keep the cover in place. I took it out this morning and plugged it in and he was snoring in the afternoon napping on it. The cord is great, completely metal encased to prevent chewing. And the pad cover has an opening so for the cord to pass thru and the cover stays in place. This years version is a bit different and I like that it’s softer than the old one. I almost bought one at the feed store last week, they are same price there as last year $108.99. But I saw I could get this one in a plain brown box with no fancy pictures on the outside and it saved me over $40!!! Who cares what the box looks like. So I have a happy warm dog with a safe warming pad and saved over $40 on the purchase price (made not being able to find the one from last winter a little less maddening) I’m gonna take the money I saved and but a rose bush and a lime tree!!!! This warming pad is worth the cost at over $100 but to get it for far less than that is a huge deal. Get this and you won’t be sorry and your pet will love you even more. Read more

Highly recommend for outdoor cat houses. I have a insulated cat house with this heated bed and a microwavable warmer and it stays in the 50s even when it's 0° outside.keeps kitty nice and warm. Read more
