This stand works great for my phone and both tablets, an 11 inch and a 14.6 inch. It is very sturdy and as long ans you keep the angle to weight ratio balanced is stays put very well. I think it is great for travel, reason I bought it. And love the adjustability of it. Definitely recommend!! Read more
Exactly how I pictured usage and what I needed for holding my 14in personal laptop. I have plenty of desktop workspace. I'm thinking of purchasing a 2nd one for holding my 14in work laptop on the opposite side. Posting against the wall provides additional support. Read more

I was looking for a stand to hold my Surface Pro 8 in the Portrait position. I use it to display my sheet music for playing guitar. This tablet in that orientation is probably a bit heavier than many of the applications for this device. I really love the form factor and weight of this stand. It is so small I can carry it in my guitar case easily. And it weighs almost nothing. The first example I got of this stand was darn near perfect. It held my table perfectly in any orientation or angle I desired. I liked it so much that I bought another as a backup. This is where I had a problem. The second example of the stand had quite a bit less "friction" in the joints and at certain angles of the arms it would just let go and drop the tablet to the table. I found certain combinations of joints that worked, but I was far less confident that it would hold the tablet securely. Giving some risk of potential damage (probably not too likely as it does not move very much) or simply dropping the table to the table in the middle of a song performance......not good for me. I have not tried yet, but I might see if there is any way to remove the little joint covers and determine if there is any way to tighten up the joint. I do this all the time with other musical stands that have screw adjustments. In any case, I think this device is a rather brilliant design and works really well I am sure with lighter tablets. But you might have to purchase several to get an example with a high enough joint friction to work with heavier devices. Read more

It’s not secure for a screen because the base is unstable. It could be good for a cell phone Read more
