Old steering wheel was getting worn and tacky. I wanted something to give accent, but still match. The faux wood grain is an exact match to the old accent interior they used in older cars. Took a bit of strength for the initial stretch, but after that no problem. Seems true to fitting. There is a black trim on one edge, I assume that goes to the back so I had to flip it, but no issues getting it on the second time. Sits firmly, no slippage and is comfortable on the hands. I love this steering wheel cover. It's beautiful and has a great grip. Fits my Mercedes SLK perfectly and the faux woodgrain matches remarkably well with the rest of my trim. I bought the first one almost five years ago. Last week I felt a few cracks in the woodgrain part where I grip the wheel most often. Five years is a long time for anything to last in a car in California - extreme heat destroys everything. I bought a replacement of the same one with zero hesitation. If it lasts another five years, that'll probably be longer than my car will.
