This is a beautiful little weighted blanket that comes in its own carrier. Makes a great gift! In fact, I purchased the larger 5 lb for my Autistic self and the 3 lb for my ADHD Teen for their birthday, who did not think they would like it, and they love theirs as well. In fact, despite having insomnia, they fell asleep with it pretty quickly. It makes a nice lap pad at 2 x 3 ft approx, and the larger one makes a nice throw for your lap, legs, chest and fits nicely across a recliner chair. Is perfect for me because I find comfort from warm hugs but not the usual heavy weighted blankets where I feel claustrophobic and trapped. I have respiratory disease, panic attacks and severe muscle cramps and I don't want anything smothering me, so these are just the perfect weight and size to give me the kind of gentle pressure I need without being oppressive. Its a throw size I can just fling off if I need to in a second. And its so soft! The weight is nicely and evenly distributed with glass beads. I got the 5 lbs 23" x 29 leaf blanket. I chose this one bc it had the highest weight per square inch, and I mostly wanted it for sensory / calming, more than as a blanket. It is very small, but I like it that way. Mostly covers just my thighs. I like sitting on my bed with my legs straight and it laid lengthwise on top - it extends from below my knee, up to on my lower belly. Great for weight. Warm where it does cover. The small size also makes it really easy to maneuver. In particular to pull over me while I'm already lying in bed, and to throw off me in the groggy middle of the night when I'm done with it. Very nice fabric, rich dark green, soft. Well made. Very pretty. I'm considering also getting the larger one to use more like a blanket. Read more
Perfect size for me in a queen bed when my hubby doesn't prefer the weighted blanket situation. We had a much larger, heavier weighted blanket I'd place on my side of the bed, which inevitably would end up crawling and pulling covers off my husband's side during the night (that thing must be at least 15 lbs). This is lighter weight, but still gives me that weighted blanket comfort & pretty much stays put. The blanket is nicely made and I love the fun leaf shape; makes it look like an accent on the bed, rather than just a functional blanket.
