Kami Powder is an Asian American's Hair Dream Come True
For my entire life, my hair has been wildly uncontrollable and I've had to keep very short hair, because of its wiry hair texture. A stylist at the local salon told me that, as an Asian American, my hair was "mongoloid structure" which makes traditional styling products difficult as they aren't really made for my hair structure. Perfect for lightweight airy strong hold with a matte finish!
I bought this product in search of something different from the same gel, cream, paste, wax, rabbit holes that flood the market. I have never used a product that styles my unruly hair however I'd like without globbing my hair down with wax or paste. It's a strong, lightweight hold with a matte finish. Not So Strong
This powder is definitely a texturizer but I would not call it "high hold"; medium at best. The powder has a slight scent and is white in color resembling talcum powder. You shake it on your hair and work it thru but be very careful or you may end up looking like you have dandruff. I do not recommend wearing a black shirt during the application process. It seems to coat your hair with something kind of sticky which gives this powder its styling abilities. It does OK but do not try to do anything major that requires high hold. The box would lead you to believe that this is a Japanese product but it is made in China. Not bad so I give it 4 stars. Read more
