A hammok is like a camera: as the saying goes, the best one is the one you have always with you. For so long, my former hammock was staying home for overnight trips as I try and keep my bag light. Yet, this ultra light hammock is regularly making it on overnight trips. Durability - I use it only for naps, not for sleeping through the night so I cannot speak of durability for through-hikers using it. I noticed a few threads going away when I received it from the factory. However no new threads have become lose at all. How I use it - I weight 180 lbs. I remove my shoes before getting on it, and I keep it not too far from the ground, just in case it reaps loose, which given the fabric could happen by accident. This one has it all. The extra length makes this hammock my favorite. Very soft, but durable. The double Roo can't compete with the Xl double. 100% happy with the kammock Roo double XL. Read more
I took this with me on a recent motorcycle camping trip and was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to set up along with their Python 10ft straps. Packs down really small so not a big deal to bring it along on all trips. Getting in/out of the hammock was also very easy. Read more
