My son is in Cub Scouts which means a lot of camping. So for my husband and I (both with back problems), using the basic air mattress on the ground was a no-go. This camping cot is a must have. I ordered the queen size. Yes, it's still sleeping on an air mattress....but being on a cot makes a world of difference. Not only are we up off of the ground, but if the air mattress does lose air (and they all do) at least the cot provides a nice flat, even surface. Not to mention it's so much easier to get on and off of a cot than getting up from the hard ground (hubby & I are over 40) so it's not as painful on our backs. The air mattress did lose just a tiny bit of air overnight, but again, what air mattress doesn't? The quality of the frame is nice and stable. Another thing we enjoyed about having the cot was you can utilize the open space underneath when camping. It does have some heft to it, but thankfully it comes in a nice travel bag and it's super easy to set up. I will be ordering a twin size cot for my son when camping ramps up again in the spring. This bed comes with a really sturdy bag so easy storage. You literally pull the frame out of the bag and it starts to unfold on its own. Super light weight and easy set up. Make sure you add air to the air mattress half way & then stuff it into the bag to finish filling up. The bag zips up, keeps mattress in place and pretty comfortable! Just took this on the second camping trip, and both my wife and I really liked it. It is super easy to set up (remember to only fill the mattress 3/4 of the way before you slide it into the bed cover, then finish filling it). The base just telescopes out, so you can have it set up in 5 or 10 minutes easy. It's nice that the entire thing fits into a relatively small bag. It's a bit heavy, but if you are car camping that shouldn't be an issue. Overall, it seems to be very good quality and value. I would buy it again. Read more
I recently purchased this cot with air mattress and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This camping bed has truly revolutionized my outdoor sleeping experience!! First off, the air mattress is surprisingly pretty comfortable - it was supportive and cushion-y. And I love that the cot allows me to be off the ground. Setting it up is a breeze, thanks to its simple assembly process. Just unfold the metal base, slip in the air mattress, inflate it, and you're all set. Plus, it folds up neatly into the included carry bag for convenient storage and transportation. The only thing I will say is that the base doesn't really have a full support so I feel like if the air mattress wears down, it might need to be replaced? But the base is anti-rust and so I feel like it would also last a long time as well. Only thing to note is that it does NOT come with air pump so you must buy that separately. This is by far the best cot and mattress we have ever had so far. It was super quick and easy to put all together and has been used by 2 different house guests. One guest used it for a week and never had to add any air into it, and the other guest used it for almost a month and a half and only filled it up once. I did use a mattress pad on it as well so that helped with comfort, and it was really quiet. They said they didn't feel like they were sleeping on an air mattress. The bedding stayed on it just fine too so that was a bonus. The top sheet does not tuck under but that didn't seem to be an issue for the person using it. We are going to be using this on our camping trip in a couple months and happy that we won't be on the ground this year. I most likely will be bringing a pad or something to put under the frame just to err on the side of caution since all campgrounds are different, and I don't want to take a chance on the feet of the cot putting a hole in the floor of the tent. I really don't think it would but rather be safe. Also, it is a little heavy, so it's something you really don't want to have to haul too far to set up. I have only used this cot twice so far, but the cot itself is nice. It is easy to set up, collapses down for storage, and the carry bag makes it convenient to pack away. The height off the ground is also great and makes getting in and out of bed much easier than sleeping on the ground. The downside is the air mattress it comes with. In my opinion it is horrible and takes away from what could be a really good setup. The cot frame is solid, but I would recommend using a different air mattress or adding a foam pad on top to make it actually comfortable. This is not a good value when you have to purchase a different air mattress. Read more
Absolutely 💯 love this! Got this to use for Christmas holidays. Really great bed.Very comfortable. The trick is to blow up air matress half way before inserting into sleeve on bed.
