Short press (5 secs) the config button for config mode, long press (10 secs) for reset.
I've previously used two or three different Alexa compatible plugs, but the others I've used would eventually seem to lose their connection with the app/server, which would make them inaccessible to Alexa. When I finally found some that were both affordable and had a recognizable brand name (I've got several TP-Link devices in my network), I decided to try them out and I'm glad I did. Setup can be a bit tricky, as they seem to go out of their config mode too quickly. However, I looked for and found instructions on how to get the device back into config mode (short press the config button (around 5 seconds)), and how to completely reset the device and start over (long press the config button (around 10 seconds)). After that, I was able to set up and install 5 of these in about half an hour. I would definitely buy these again, and will buy more as I need them for additional lights, etc. Read more
