Comfy, Supportive, and Lightweight!

ShelbOctober 13, 2025

I did alot of research before taking a chance on these. We have a huge hiking trip coming up next year so we did a little practice trip as soon as these came in and these babies did not disappoint in any way. Hiked 5 miles of slick, cliff, rock, mud puddle, and sandstone. Not once did I slip. These are incredibly comfortable, supportive, and lightweight. They feel like you are wearing just regular walking shoes because they are so lightweight but they have some ankle support because they come up high enough. I stepped in a puddle and they were completely waterproof, hiked to a waterfall and never had any traction issues. They are comfortable, oh so comfortable. My feet felt great the whole time. No sliding around inside the shoe or clenching my toes up for stability. I went with the tan color because it was on sale and I surprisingly really like the neutral color. I highly recommend giving these a try, you won't be disappointed. Read more

What a wonderful hiker!

Kim ParishOctober 12, 2025

Love these boots. I wore them in a heavy downpour today and my feet were dry and comfortable. I absolutely love the styling, the upper and the sole of the boot. The coloring is very attractive. The boot is exactly as described. It arrived quickly and is true to size. I got a good deal on these boots. They were marked down nearly $50.00 . So keep your eye out for these mid height hikers. I highly recommend. Read more

Very Comfortable, Lightweight & Good Looking + Ankle Support & Waterproof

A. MarksAugust 13, 2025

Woot woot! I REALLY needed these and I'm REALLY HAPPY! I work on a travel-adventure TV show and I never know what kind of terrain I'll be filming in plus we're on our feet for looong days - sun-up to sundown, dain or shine and shoes have been a challenge. I've outlined my Shoe saga below, but to cut to chase on why I'm liking THESE so much - they are: –comfortable –lightweight –have ankle support –are waterproof –good looking/cute! Comfort is the most important thing. They arrived today and I've been wearing them non-stop for the past 8 hours and they are definitely comfortable – my foot seems to fit really well in them. They're not cush-y like a Hoka Bondi, which I wouldn't want in this kind of shoe. There is some cushion but what's nice is I can feel the ground under my feet in a good way - like a "I know where my foot is" way. They look more like a sneaker than a hiking boot which I appreciate - they don't look massive and clunky. But they definitely have some serious grip as you'd need for an outdoor shoe. And they have some ankle support - "nid" is the right word here - the shoes go up just a little beyond a sneaker and have two metal hooks on each side for the laces. I got the Beaujolais/Pink Lemon color and I LOVE IT! It's a perfect brick red that I can already tell will go with both light and dark colored pants - how great is that?! True to size. I tend between a 7.5 and an 8 in my shoes – as I'm aging I'm creeping more and more towards the 8; I always get an 8 for this kind of shoe b/c of socks and the 8 fits perfectly! Granted 8 hours to test is not massively extensive – I can' t speak to the waterproofing for example, but I'm good about updating my reviews when necessary and will def. do so here if the need arises. My Hiking/Trail Shoe Saga My first year on the show I bought some Merrell Hiking Boots and while they gave great support to my ankles and gripped rough ground they were SO HEAVY! They were the last thing I wanted to put on in anything other then really rugged, rough terrain - as for packing they added like 3 pounds ot my bag. Then I got some Merrell trail shoes - no major ankle support and ultimately they just weren't comfy. Then some Salomons which were gorgeous and lightweight, but something about them just really messed up the front of my foot - I would wear them and they'd seem fine,a nd then I'd be in pain for days later. I never figured it out. Read more

Comfortable, well cushioned, grippy and waterproof

J. CampbellAugust 20, 2025

This is the first time that I have worn a pair of Keen shoes. I was pleasantly surprised to slit my feet into them and feel the soft comfy cushioning underfoot. I also very much like the cushioning around the ankle. It has a cutout / dropdown around the Achilles, so itdoes not rub the way so many other shoes do. The added height does more to provide protection on the side rather than actual support for lateral movement. Material is waterproof and the full tongue comes up to the point where the laces transition to the quick lace spots, so it will keep your foot dry in shallow puddles and rain, but not the full height of the shoe. I often find that waterproof shoes are hot, so I have traditionally avoided them. This week I've had them on in some 90° temps and that has not been a problem. The sole is nice and grippy, whether you are walking around the city or on park trails or off in the woods. I debated between the blue/gray and the pink versions and went with the pink. I have no regrets, but I am sure I would have been more than satisfied with the blue gray as well. It's nice to have some fun color selections in your footwear. Now for the downsides and these are from my perspective as a person with a wide foot, so will not apply to everyone. I can wear these shoes with light socks only. I do wish that they had a wide option to give my toes a little more room to breathe. I generally go up a half a size to give myself more width, but these are still snug. I wouldn't wear them on trails with a lot of downhill. My usual shoe is also a zero drop, so the 10 mm drop is noticeable and over multiple days, I start to feel the difference in the bottom of my foot. On the bright side, the lacing does allow for my ankle that is larger than usual these days as I am recovering from a recent fracture. The cushioning I mentioned earlier doesn't irritate my scars. The higher stack (30mm) would have been particularly helpful when I was still in a boot and needed to match the height. Read more

Comfortable for hiking in rough terrain

petermerc711October 17, 2025

These shoes were amazing and gripped so well when I went hiking on a mountain during a recent girls trip. They fit like a glove and my ankle was supported so much by the high top and laces that went all the way up. There is so much traction on the rubber bottom and I felt very comfortable walking on very rocky surfaces. The sneaker is made of a mesh material and has cushion all on the inside for extra comfort. They are a little heavy but it did not affect the hike at all. While these are a bit pricey I think they are worth the money due to the comfort and support given. Read more
