This yoga mat is fantastic. The grip is outstanding — even during sweaty workouts or hot yoga, my hands and feet don’t slip at all. The PU surface absorbs moisture really well, and the natural rubber base keeps the mat firmly in place on the floor. The 5mm thickness is just right: enough cushioning to protect my knees and joints without feeling squishy or unstable. I also love the extra-long and wide size — it gives me plenty of room to move without feeling cramped. It feels very high quality, lays flat right out of the box, and doesn’t have that strong rubber smell some mats do. The included strap is a nice bonus and makes it easy to carry. This mat looks and feels like a much more premium priced mat that you buy at yoga studios and the price is less than half. The package arrived intact and the product was perfect. The mat looks great and a shiny, but it has a really good grip. I tried it at home and it was great for am at-home streaming yoga class. I also took it to a hot yoga class at a studio and it absorbed sweat and moisture very nicely and still provided a great amount of grip. It wiped down easily to clean with the yoga mat wipes that they have at the studio. After that, I just left it out to dry on the floor at home. There was no weird smell when it arrived and it looked and smelled clean with just a simple wipe after use. It also comes with a strap, which was a nice surprise. I've only used this a few times, but based on my initial experience and compared to other mats that I've bought in the past, I have a good feeling that this one will last quite a long time. if that's not the case and there are issues, I will update this review. What I noticed first was the weight of it - pretty heavy compared to some other mats I had before. But by no means is it a challenge or struggle to carry it around, just comparatively heavy weight. And the good reason for that is a) the mat provides for a really nice cushioning and therefor is a little thicker than others, and b) the quality of the rubber seems really good to me (probably denser). As a consequence I am sure this is a mat which will last for quite a while. The mat seems to me pretty much standard length (rolled out), yet about 2-3 inches wider than the typical/standard ones. Thus the roll is a little longer. Personally, I really like the little extra space (width). The mat comes with a simple carry strap which is made of a nice, soft fabric. Even though it is not padded, it still feels nice in the hands (or on the shoulder). For the quality of the mat, the price seems right to me. Read more
