I have had our shampoo and conditioner bottles sitting on a little plastic mat with holes (kind of like spongy mesh) on the bench in our shower for years so they don’t slide around or fall off when the bench is wet. I think it has a very slight tilt so water doesn't accumulate on the seat. The mat worked well but I have never felt it was the cleanest solution. Sometimes our housekeepers would not take the mat out and clean under it (ick!) and it just seemed like it retained moisture and all that comes with that. So I had been looking for a better solution and a couple of these baskets with the slotted bottoms did the trick. I love them! The suction cups are large to secure them to the shower tile. I did modify them a bit. I wanted them to sit a bit more off the shower bench so that water could drain out the bottom more easily. I bought the clear little plastic dots that you use as a bumper in kitchen cabinets and adhered them on the four corners and two middle spots and now they work exactly as I wanted. I think most people would just suction them to the wall and not put them on a bench so the water would already drain easily. If the manufacturer sees this review - it may be a good idea to have little feet built into the mold so that these could be for wall hanging or a shower bench. Read more

This does not lean against the wall straight. The suction cups do not hold the weight of the basket never mind placing shampoo in it. Read more
