The Kensie eggplant dress is a very nice color with a shine. It has a textured pattern, but it looks more textured than it feels. The top and bottom of the dress is double layered, but the sleeves are single layered. Therefore, you can slightly see through the arms. The liner later on the bottom goes down to about two inches above the bottom of the outer textured layer. The size two is about 38 inches from the top of the back neckline to the bottom. The dress arrived wrapped and on a hanger. I love the color. It's bright and really just has a beautiful tone to it. The size fit larger than a 16. I'd say it was more true to an 18. There is some stretchiness to it. It was not tight on my arms or across my chest- which is something I have experienced with dresses in the past. It's lined, so it doesn't hug and show every roll and wrinkle. It simultaneously has a 50s vibe, a 80s prom, and a modern feel rolled into one. I like it a lot so far. Read more
