I like this. There were only a couple of color choices, and I wasn't a fan of either of them (the green looked worse to my eye than the pink), but I'm a lot less interested in the look of the product than I am in the functionality of it. While I like the idea of the no-stick base, I'm more inclined to leave the paper protector on the bottom of it. I kind of like the ability of it to move a little when I'm using the mouse. I was surprised by the weight of it when I picked up the box. It is heavier than I thought it would be when I requested it. The gel pockets are completely filled, and the gel seems fairly dense. While it's soft and has some give to it, the density of the gel keeps your wrist elevated the entire time you're using it while still providing a comfortable cushion that is remarkably soft. It's hard to explain, but the materials that Kensington used to produce this are the highest quality. I really like this product, even if I don't care for the colors. The available colors aren't enough for me to downgrade my review. Check back later. I want to see how the product cleans up. That's going to be a big factor for me, but obviously, I have to use it for a while to get to that point. Like I said, check back later. For now, this is a great product to pick up if you can. Like most office workers that work from home, I'm always constantly finding ways to prevent back pain. I used to, before getting this, have a cushy mouse rest that went under my Apple Trackpad AND another mouse pad. I need both to unfortunately support my forearm and the bit before my elbow, otherwise it hurts like hell. Ah, yeah, the joys of aging. I was looking to replace the first one, since it's getting kind of filthy. I considered getting one of those sleek looking wooden pads, but opted for this instead. And it's fantastic -- I got this in green opposed to my usual pink, and I'm glad for it, since the color is more subdued. It's squishy, feels cool, and offers far more support than a traditional wrist rest. It feels solid and is rather affordable IMO. I still have my second wrist rest for that part of my eblow, but this is far easier to clean than my other wrist rest and I like the cooling properties. I will say I was slightly irritated by the sticker at the bottom (it was very difficult to peel off and I had to scrub it off with soap) and I'm not a fan of the branding. It says Kensington on the rest. I think they could have put it underneath, to keep a minimal/sleek profile. Either way, doesn't impact the function of the wrist rest. Read more
Welcome to the world of gel rests. Gel wrist rests are by far my favorite type of wrist rest now. If you’re still using old bean, or foamy stuffed, step into the present. Gel wrist rests are so much more supportive with so much less fatigue. AND the gel is cooling and helps with swelling over the time you are using it. This is a fun design generous of length and width. I’m not sure if the open channel in the middle is mostly decorative or functional. It does give a kind of wrist “break” for angle, not necessarily resting and gives some added air flow, although I’ve never found my wrists sweating, but… as much as I like gel wrist rests and find this to be stylish and well constructed, I am a female with smaller hands and wrists. I found this unit to be a bit too tall for me and the wrist “break” in the middle is just a bit too big for me. The thickness and tube design also makes it just a bit stiffer than I like. I think this size and style might perfectly suit someone a bit bigger, like a guy. It could also be that I’m just a bit more sensitive because of the sheer amount of hours I’m on the computer for work. Read more
This is super comfortable and feels amazing. I get so many compliments on the daily, they love the look of it too. The design stands out and is very unique. I hope they add new colours to the line up soon. I’d like a couple more color options to choose from for sure. It is well made and stays put no matter how fast I’m typing. This mouse wrist rest has the perfect amount of squish! The gel is very soft and squishy on top, but gets firmer the more pressure you put on it. Providing firm, but comfortable support for my wrist. I ordered the mountain variety and while in use, I put the heel of my hand in the small gap between the two gel pads. This greatly relieves the pressure from this part of my hand that is otherwise quite sensitive and sore. The wrist rest pad has a nice thick rubber base that really stays in place on top of my mouse pad. The gel pads are thick, and seem durable. I did not notice any smell to this. This is a high quality support cushion, and a great value for the price! I like this support so much, I am considering buying the keyboard version as well! Highly recommend! Read more
I was a bit unsure if the design of this wrist rest would be comfortable, as it is asymmetrical on where it puts pressure on your wrist. It actually works pretty well and is comfortable to use. The gel is thick and squishy and is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth if needed. I do notice an improvement in how my hand feels after a day in front of the computer and think this is a great deal for the money. Kensington has been around quite a long time, and they are just as good of quality today as they were in the past. The muted pastel green color is also nice for adding a touch of color to your desk without looking obnoxious. I'd recommend this is you need a good wrist rest! Read more
This wrist rest has actually made a big difference in the wrist fatigue I've been beginning to experience after many 8 hour days at a keyboard. It's extremely soft and comfortable and is fun to absentmindedly squish around. It stays in place very well, but is still easy to pick back up and clean around when needed. Overall, even though I do really like this, I think the price is pretty steep and should be $30 at the absolute most. Read more
It looks so pretty and is pleasant to touch and squish. I find it too hard on my skin. I would like it softer. It is cooling. It seems to be the correct height but I just can't get it to feel comfortable. Read more
