What can I say...? It makes good coffee... when I use it right. The process: Step 1. Get good coffee. Step 2. Place the upper chamber atop the lower chamber, but don't press it down all the way, allowing a little gap on the sides. Step 2. Using a good grinder, grind 15 grams of the good coffee very fine (espresso grind or finer). Step 3. Add the finely ground coffee to the upper chamber and shake it until even and not clumpy. Step 4. Gently place the plunger-like piece atop the coffee in the upper chamber. Step 4. Slowly add 80*C temperature good water atop the plunger-like piece to just below the the little handle of the plunger-like piece. Don't allow the water to stir up the coffee grounds. Step 5. Slowly & Gently lift the plunger-like piece, removing it from the upper chamber. Step 6. Place the lid atop the upper chamber, but don't press it on, allowing a little gap for it breathe. Step 7. Allow ample time for all the water to pass through the coffee into the lower chamber. Step 8. CAUTION: The upper and lower chambers will be very hot! Remove the upper chamber, dump out the grounds, rinse it and the plunger-like piece with water. Step 9. Enjoy that brewed coffee however you like it! Yummmm! NOTES CONCERNING GOOD FLAVOR: Good coffee seeds (beans) can't fix the issues a bad grinder or terrible water creates. A good grinder can't fix the issues terrible water or nasty coffee seeds (beans) creates. Good water can't fix the issues nasty coffee seeds (beans) or a bad grinder creates. If the coffee is too strong, add more water to the FINISHED brew. If the coffee is too weak, next time add more ground coffee to the upper chamber, until it is as strong as you like it. Read more

I ordered a second one as I quite liked the one I already had been using. The item that just arrived has a bottom compartment that is very snugly fitted to the container that rests above it. I am concerned, that when filled with boiling hot coffee, it is going to spill the coffee, and scald when I try to pull off the top compartment to get to the filtered coffee. Read more
