Finding good quality uniform shorts for my daughter has been such a struggle until I found these. We have tried so many brands and they either fit weird, look cheap, or fall apart after a few washes. These are the first ones that check all the boxes. The fit is perfect. The mid rise sits comfortably at her waist without being too high or too low. The elastic waistband is a game changer because it gives her flexibility and comfort throughout the school day without the shorts feeling tight or leaving marks. She can sit, run, and play at recess without constantly adjusting them. The fabric feels really nice. The cotton blend is soft and breathable which is important since she wears these all day. There is just enough spandex in there to give it a little stretch so she has room to move. The khaki color is exactly what her school requires and it looks clean and polished. I love that the pockets are actually functional. She can put small things in there without them being just for show. The length is modest and appropriate for school which was important to me. One thing to note is that the cotton does wrinkle a bit so I do give them a quick iron before she wears them. But that is pretty normal for cotton fabric and not a big deal at all. We have already washed these multiple times and they still look great. No fading, no shrinking, and no loose threads. For only $10, these cotton shorts are exceptional! The material is very thick and doesn't feel as though it would tear easily. The button isn't a snap, however the button and the hole are a large enough size that my kiddos will be able to use the button easily, even in an emergency situation. The pockets are large enough that my child can fit their full hand laying flat in the hip pockets and about 3/4 of their hand flat in their back pocket. The elastic in the back means this will never be going in the dryer, but it will also cut down on waist gapping, which my skinny child is prone too. She is still rather short, so these will definately hit her knees, and I've included the measurements in case your child is either on the short or tall side. They will pass her fingertips, making them totally school appropiate. In the whole, I really like them and will probably be getting another couple pairs when they go on sale. Im going to base the review based on the price point. Its priced below a lot of other similar options which is great. It has an elastic band around the waist to fit many sized kids. Its a very clean looking short that will work for most required uniforms or even a nice looking pair of shorts for family photos or just a normal outfit. Without a belt it does look slightly odd between the seams and the large button. I would recommend having a belt go with these otherwise in my opinion it looks a little "off". As shown in the description and in my own photos these are long style shorts so be mindful if you have a child on the shorter end of the spectrum these might not be the best option. With a daughter who is just shy of 5' tall these look great and fit perfectly. The quality of the pant material is average and they should last if only used for light play and school, etc... Theyre easy to clean and dont require extensive cleaning methods which is a bonus especially for any kind of kid clothing. If in need of more formal type shorts look no further. Read more

These shorts were ordered for our 7 year old granddaughter. The shorts have elastic all along the back and then a smooth front with no pleats. The elastic helped keep the shorts up on her thin frame. Also, she had a little difficulty with the button and instead opted to slip them on and off without undoing the button/zipper combo. They are longer shorts, hitting her a little above the knee. I washed them and was pleased that they do not need an iron. I did throw them in the dryer (even though the care instructions say not to tumble dry). They seemed to have survived just fine. There are two pockets in the front and one on the back. There are also belt loops at the waist if the elastic back doesn't help out enough in keeping them up. The material is soft and a little stretchy. I am sure these will be a versatile option for both school and play once the weather heats up. I am very happy with these shorts. Read more
