Coming from a more standard ortholinear 40% layout (Planck, Preonic, and BS Equals 60), it took me a few hours to adapt to this board’s layout —especially figuring out how to configure my raise/lower layers for symbols and getting used to the location of the Enter key. But after some tweaking, I’ve landed on a layout that works really well for me using the left and right space bar as my raise and lower keys. Pros: • Exceptionally solid and heavy—easily the heaviest non-TKL keyboard I’ve ever used • Great feel and satisfying sound during typing • Once configured, the layout feels efficient and ergonomic for daily use • Key caps feel great to type on and the red switches are nice and quiet Cons: • Keycap legends aren’t very sharp, which affects legibility • The non-standard Enter key makes it difficult to find compatible keycap sets Read more

This is probably one of the most premium all metal ortholinear keyboard build available to buy on the market today. The stock Gateron Jupiter Reds are extremely light linear switches I have used by far and provides an enjoyable marble sound as you type. Comes with 2 knobs that can be set to whatever you want with Keychrons browser based software. Now comes the quirks or cons in my opinion. Firstly this keyboard comes with 2 knobs which in my opinion is a con as the only use I have for the knob is just volume adjustment which leaves the 2nd knob to be set as rgb lighting knob which i barely ever adjust, would have been nice to have an extra key instead of a 2nd knob. Secondly this keyboard comes with a split spacebar which in my opinion is also a con as we can easily just have one single 2U spacebar and additional 1U keys instead like with other ortholinear keyboards. I've come from using other ortholinear keyboards with a 2U spacebar and additional 1U keys which I use for backspace and enter. Lastly more cons I find with this keyboard is it having a 2U enter and having a split spacebar which is extremely hard to buy replacement keycaps and replacement stabilizers, not to mention it takes a bit of getting used to having a split spacebar which I find to be unnecessary since for gaming and even typing when both my thumbs will naturally rest near the split with the spacebars where there should be a single 2U spacebar instead. Would have been nice to just have a single 2U spacebar and 2 additional 1U keys in that row. Read more

I want to like this keyboard. It feels great and the split spacebar is a game changer, but the two knobs are pointless. The knob on the left side moves down the escape key which WILL cause you problems when you are accustomed to its standard position. This could have been a great keyboard but for this inclusion of a second knob. Read more

This is the best pre built Ortho you can buy. I upgraded from an xd75 and the extra cost is worth it for the Bluetooth and wireless connectivity. It is very solidly built and the firmware changes are super easy(though only available on Windows Chrome). The only faults are the switches, but you can swap them out for some Akko V2 blacks.
