My gradeschooler needed a new backpack for the school year and the reason why I chose this backpack was because it had a unique feature: the ability to attach charms on the front pocket for fun customization. Overall this pack seems fine, it's not necessarily robust and the material seems pretty thin so I hope it lasts the year, maybe two. It has a large inside pocket in the main compartment, but the small front pocket is see-through and has a number of slots for the charms. You can use croc charms with this BTW and it's not too hard to install them (which kind of makes me worry that they could easily fall out). Being that the front pocket has slots for the charms, it won't keep rain or dust out so it's not really a functional pocket. The pack also has water battle pockets on each side, which I liked. The zippers also don't feel the most sturdy but the straps are padded and so is the back portion of the backpack. You can probably find better options for the price point but I appreciate the uniqueness of the charm display. I love this backpack, and it would work well for a kid or preteen. The back has mesh over a layer of comfy cushioning, and the straps are also comfortable and quite substantial and durable. There's a nice inner pocket lining inside the main pouch, and not only is there a baggie of included charms for the smaller pocket's display area, there's also an attached heavyweight "Hello, my name is..." tag for identification if this backpack gets lost. It's lightweight for carrying, but it affords a lot of space to hold stuff. I think this might be too much backpack for a toddler, and I would recommend it more specifically for elementary and middle school. Read more

Nice smaller backpack for younger kids, it’s 16” instead of the usual 18” for bigger kids. It has 2 zipper compartments. On the smaller compartment it has a green glow in the dark panel which kids will love. It comes with charms that can be placed wherever they want to put them on the glow in the dark panel. There are also spaces on each side for water bottles. It’s pretty lightweight, kids that young won’t have a lot of heavy books so it should be good quality for their needs. Read more

This is a basic backpack with the exception of the ability for your child to decorate the front of it with charms. The charms are actually very colorful and cute. My backpack came with a little marking on it though as shown in the picture. I think the plastic front pocket with the holes in it would work well for wet items like a bathing suit if need be. And it seems like a water resistant material. All in all, cute roomy backpack that’s functional but nothing exceptional about this backpack except the charm capability. Read more
