These are a 5 star product in my opinion. Not because they're super premium audiophile-grade headphones, but because they do exactly what they're supposed to at a price that can't be beat. I typically buy cheap over-ear headphones for the kids to borrow, and while I still do that it can become a huge hassle having kids constantly asking to borrow headphones multiple times a day. I avoid sharing in-ear headphones for obvious reasons. I was looking for some really affordable options that I could just give to some of those kids who still don't have their own headphones halfway through the school year (and never will). These popped up so I gave them a try! I really like them! The sound quality is better than some other inexpensive in-ear headphones I've tried before (even ones that were more than twice the price of these) but it's still not going to blow you away. Having said that, they are more than good enough for the kinds of things students are doing on their chromebooks, and even when it comes to music and entertainment videos you very quickly adjust. The volume is plenty loud! You can easily have students using these in a fairly busy classroom with no issue. The only thing I would say to keep in mind is that they do not seal against the ear very well, meaning they do not block out a lot of noise. I actually prefer that, and I prefer that for my students so they can hear me when I talk to them, but it's just something to be aware of. Overall, I would say the value is excellent. Frankly the quality is better than I would expect at this price point, and my students have been very happy with them as well! The only downside is that they do tend to tangle quite easily if the kids end up fully separating the left and right wires - so make sure you are explicit with the kids that they should only pull them apart far enough that each bud can reach each ear, and no further! A relative of mine is a schoolteacher and, since Covid, much of the schoolwork remains online, with each student being issued a computer and a set of earphones so they don’t disturb others in class. Most of the issued headsets are with the traditional headphone plug like these have and we know that kids are pretty rough on their things, so teachers go through buckets of headsets. This is where the MUMSTHT wired earbuds come in – the name doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, so I’ll just call them earbuds. There are fairly well made for the price – actually very well made for the price. As adults, we know these things from the earbuds that airlines hand out on longer flights, and the sound quality is about equal – perfectly fine for the spoken word and background music and pretty awful for anything else. What sets these apart from the airline variety is that they come in different colors – the colored ones come with a white cord, while the black ones (that have a white ring on the earbud itself) come with a black cord. I did a test fit, and they are reasonably comfortable. I then gave one to a 7-year-old and asked them to shake their head to see if they fell out – they didn’t. As expected, the 7-year-old disconnected the earbuds from the computer by pulling on the cord and I’m not sure how well that would hold up in the long run. Yes, I’d order these again. I tried a handful of these and all worked about the same. You won’t be happy listening to music with these, but they are perfect for their intended use – you may want to remember that a student will likely go through several sets in a year. There are a few oddities. The dynamic range is listed as from 20~20,000hz – but that’s not even close. Further, there are these instructions: Kindly Note: ★Please just hold the headphone plug part if you want to remove the headphones away from your devices or ears; ★Please turn around the headphones plug some cycles when connect with your device, this can easily solve many problems for music I have no clue as to what they are trying to say with the second note. I think the first note means to unplug it from your device by grasping the plug – not just the wire (see my comment above), but manufacturers need to write in a language that their customers can understand. These earbuds are an excellent value. Inexpensive for how many you get at the listed price. The quality is about what I would expect from a bulk bundle for kids. These aren't top of the line, but they work as expected. And if a child were to break one, it wouldn't be a huge loss. I did need to push the plug in a bit firmer than I expected. But once I got it positioned right, the sound was good. Works exactly as they should. Clear sound. Great option for classrooms. Or if you have a bunch of kids who run through earbuds. You do have to pull them apart to fit them. And there isn't a piece to stop them from being pulled all the way apart, if a child decided to do that. Which is the only downside to these. Otherwise, this is a good bulk supply of earbuds for kids. And the variety of colors is a great feature. Each kid can choose a color they like. This is a very useful pack. Read more
I received MUMSTHT Kids Earbuds Bulk 50 Pack in the mixed colors option from the MUMSTHT store. It comes with 50 individually bagged earbuds, each with a standard 3.5mm jack. The directions were not really needed and the product works. I really like how convenient these are because they are perfect for back to school time and also throughout the year when kids lose theirs or they break. The sound quality is decent for everyday use, and the phone call quality is clear enough for basic conversations. I also like the variety of colors because it makes it easy to tell them apart or assign them to different kids. The quality seems good for what they are because they work as expected and are individually packaged, which makes them easy to hand out and keep clean. Overall, they do what they are supposed to do.
