I bought 2 of these for my niece (7) and nephew (5). They are actually pretty darn awesome. They won the title of best Christmas presents by a long shot this year, and these kids are totally spoiled with cool toys. Super easy for them to learn to ride, they took maybe ten minutes to get the whole concept mastered, they love the lit up wheels, and the speed (Not unsafe but pretty exciting for youngsters). 5 stars definitely recommend. This is a nice scooter. I charged it and it only took maybe 1.5-2 hours. There’s a learning curve for sure and for those of you saying it doesn’t work when you push the pedal, you have to give it a kick start, then you’ll hear a beep, and feel it really pick up speed. I wish it had an option to turn off the motor if only because it’s a bit too fast for my little one. She’s still learning to balance and use her foot as a traditional scooter and when the motor turns on it makes her nervous. Overall though it’s a sturdy and well made scooter! This was my second purchase of this scooter. I bought a pink one for my granddaughter and then once my grandson was old enough, I purchased the blue one for him. They love them and have lots of fun. They have adjustments for the handlebars as they grow. They don't go to fast, but they do have different speeds. Read more

Seemingly pretty sturdy. My tot is 50lbs and full-speed-ahead 24/7/365. This scooter is the perfect upgrade from his Radio Flyer, in my opinion. The obvious preference for an electric scooter is a widely paved trail at a meandering park on a beautifully sunny day. BUT when the package arrived and it was too awesome to wait for the stars to align - a few quick trips around the block will do the trick. This fella has used his scooter about 20 times since purchasing 6 weeks ago. The brake system is intuitive and the lights are extra-super-duper fun at dusk. Read more
