We got this watch for our 5 year old daughter. She is on the smaller side of an average 5 year old for reference. She needs to use the first notch on the watch to keep it tight on her wrist. So there is tons of room for her to expand as she grows. The material is a very soft silicone. So it didn't bother her at all. The color is vibrant on both the watch itself and the display. Setting it up is pretty easy, but you'll want an adult to do that. There are even adult only features you can set up if you want. Likes: Games, Music, Steps and Camera are the favorite things for my daughter to use this watch for. She dances along with the music on it. The games are simple and easy for her to pick up on. Steps are fun to track. She will track them along with us. Definitely not an adult and official type tracker, but it is fun. Dislikes: The notification sounds. I wish you could just mute those but I believe the volume on the watch is for everything. Scrolling seems to just change the watch scenes. I wish there was a way to lock that down. I ordered this smart watch as a Christmas present for a four year old boy who I babysit for. He loves watching videos on his tablet and while he hadn't quite gotten to the stage of playing virtual games, I thought this watch could be a fun and interactive toy for him when he didn't have access to his tablet. I wasn't particularly interested in the pedometer features, but did think the other features were cool and thought he might like them too. When he opened the gift, he seemed a little confused as to why I would get him a watch and didn't seem very interested in it; however, when I took it out of the packaging and turned it on, he started playing with it and ended up figuring out how to operate the camera feature within seconds and loved it, which I thought was really cute! The band was an appropriate length for an 8-10 year old, but a little long for a 4 year old; fortunately, the last notch gave it a snug fit on his tiny wrist and because the band is made of silicone, it didn't slip up and down his arm at all. The screen on the watch is quite nice, the graphics are colorful and clear and the camera does take decent photos, however, they are very easy to delete and I haven't figured out how to upload them onto my computer to save them, so if you are not tech savvy like me, it is something to keep in mind. The fact that I am not tech savvy didn't interfere with the useability of the watch though because this kid was able to figure out how to use 90% of the features straight out of the box within minutes of powering it on...phew!!! He is still playing with the camera a lot and LOVES the flashlight (torch) feature I am looking forward to him using more of the additional features because I think they will be a great way to merge fun and learning.
