This is an improvement over the old Etch A Sketch and works well as an early learning toy. I bought it for my 18-month-old granddaughter, and it keeps her engaged and interested in drawing. The table itself is very stable, which is a big plus. However, the pen is attached with a very short string. While I understand this is for child safety, it feels overly restrictive, especially for adults helping her use it.
