SAFER MATERIAL: . This is made of polyethylene vinyl acetate (PEVA). It much safer than PVC. However, you should still air it out when you first get it. It can out-gas Volatile organic Compounds when it is fresh from the factory. . PEVA is free of the phthalates, endocrine disruptors, chlorine and dioxins that are found in PVC. DON'T GET PVC garment bags. PVC is very bad. MOTHS: Last Fall I saw moths in the laundry room. That pushed me to do something NOW! I need to protect my fine clothing before the moths eat holes in them. VALUE: . These are an inexpensive set of 3 garment bags. They are worth what you pay for them. But they are relatively weak compared to the more expensive bags. The material is thin. It is strong enough to keep out moths and dust. It is not strong enough to survive wild kids who hang onto the bags and try to swing on them. (I tried that when I was little, LOL!) They will not survive a dog who likes to chew on stuff. They will not survive an impatient husband who grabs the bag roughly or jerks the zipper harshly. . The zipper has a metal puller, but the teeth are plastic. If you jerk the zipper, the teeth will deform. The stitching is over bias tape. Bias tape makes the seams stronger. SIZE: My largest 18” hanger fits inside these with room to spare. Feel confident that it will fit your largest hangers. It can fit my bulky coat in size 3X. It's probably too small for a huge poofy wedding dress that has a lot of tool & layers in the underskirt. RATING: . I like this package deal, where you get 3 bags for a relatively low price. My family was in a wedding party and we want to protect the expensive gowns and suit we got. These will do the job. We are a family that lives on a budget and watches our pennies. We will not pay as much for our bags as we did for the clothes inside them. . I am also health conscious. They are an excellent price, especially for a pack of three. We are both over 5'9" tall and love floor-length dresses, so these 65" long garment bags are very helpful. The bags are a medium shade of gray and have a clear half moon shaped window to showcase what dress is protected inside. The garment bags have an opening in the top for the clothes hanger hook to extend and the zippers are sturdy and secure. The media could not be loaded. I really like how long these garment bags are. At 65 inches, they easily fit my full-length gowns and long coats without them bunching up at the bottom. The fan-shaped windows are also a nice touch because I can see exactly which dress is inside without unzipping them. My only concern is that the PEVA material is quite thin. It works perfectly for dust protection and keeping the closet organized, but I wouldn’t recommend using these for anything with sequins, heavy beading, or sharp accents. The fabric feels like it could snag or tear if it catches on something pokey.
