The almonds are just soft enough, not to be a chewing inconvenience. The low sugar and extra nut protein, is a rare snack that taste good and has health benefits. I do feel some guilt for loving almonds. Though they are one of the healthier nuts, their cultivation is an environmental burden, with much pesticide and water use. Since native pollinators are eliminated, industrial scale, non-native bees are trucked in. I hope California almond farmers progress to more sustainable orchard production. Read more
