I have high demands for sunscreen. I am on retinol and i enjoy running outside, plus I have dry, sensitive skin. I have repurchased this sunscreen, which says A LOT. I was negligent in my youth and thus have hyperpigmentation, melasma and dark spots. I am using a lactic acid/hydroquinone treatment, plus I’m a regular user of retinol. I am nearly in my 50’s so my skin is thin and delicate. I need sunscreen to work to prevent future damage, but a greasy or drying formula is uncomfortable to wear all day, or it sweats off easily during the Texas summer and exercising outdoors. I reapply after toweling off or about an hour or so. Finding a formula that sits well, tenacious, protecting against UVA and UVB is difficult and was impossible until i found this. Kinesys is reviewed by Runner’s World, sold at REI and generally promoted by companies that are outdoors/sports enthusiasts. It’s hard to tell if the stuff works because it is nearly invisible and feels like nothing on the skin. It has no alcohol which is the enemy I find in Asian sunscreens because it feels tight and dry on my sensitive skin. I have been wearing this for 4 months and notice my face getting more pale, so indeed it works. I am medium skin toned, super easy to tan, but arms and chest show very minimal darkening even though Ive been running outside for months now. It works! SIlicone based formula, no scent at all, spray works great and the price is right because my first bottle lasted 4 months. Read more

This is the ONLY sunscreen I use! I have very sensitive skin, and all of the mainstream spray-on/aerosol/etc. sunscreens cause me to have a severe allergic reaction (skin welting/swelling into a rash, itching, etc.) I bought this last month for a trip to Jamaica, used it for eight days straight, and did not have an allergic reaction! I immediately bought a second bottle upon returning home, even though I still have plenty left in the first bottle. For days where we spent all day at the beach/pool, I sprayed down first thing in the morning, then one or two more applications throughout the day. In places with less intense sun, one application would probably get you through a whole day of outdoor activity. It does over-spray a bit, as mentioned by other reviewers, but you can spray directly into a cupped palm and then apply to skin to avoid wasting the product. I also liked the design of the bottle, as it was easy to pack and didn't take up too much space. You don't get a lot of product for how expensive it is, but you also have to keep in mind that it's a much higher quality product than many of the "cheaper" brands/products. It's environmentally friendly, hypoallergenic, does not have a nasty sunscreen smell, goes on clear, and it's not super greasy. For me, it's worth every penny to not fight the allergic reaction! If allergies are not a concern for you, then you'll have to weigh the other pros/cons. Read more

This is by a long way the best sunscreen I and my family have ever used. I've always been allergic to sunscreens, with very few I can wear without a reaction, either from scent or something in the lotion. This goes on clear/invisible and goes on quickly, doesn't cause any reaction, and has no scent. There is a slight sunscreen scent if you really sniff closely, but it's pretty much undetectable otherwise. I can wear it on my face without breaking out. It's like the holy grail of sunscreens. I originally bought it for my partner, who wears it for working all day outside and wanted an easy to apply sunscreen that wasn't lotion-based. Now my whole family uses it, and we all swear by it. The ONLY downside, and it's not a small one, is that it's so expensive. That being said, the ingredients appear to be high quality, and it does seem to stretch farther than lotion-based sunscreens of a similar size—my partner works 10-12 hours outside almost every day, and applies it every 2 hours or so, and goes through about a bottle to a bottle and a half a month, depending on how often arms are exposed or covered for the day. YMMV, of course! Read more

I work outside and use sunscreen every day. This product is far and away the best sunscreen product I have ever bought, no exaggeration. In the hot desert sun, 95+ every day and I'm a white white guy and this has protected me from burning. The price seems high, but a little goes a long way. Maybe 3 pumps to cover my whole face and neck, and 3 more for each arm. This will last a good while. I have already ordered a second bottle because I don't want to be caught without, but I have used my current bottle daily for the whole summer and still have quite a bit left. Not oily or greasy, it does feel a little silky right when you first apply it but that goes away within a minute. It in no way greases your hands or affects your grip for the short time that it's on there. When used on the face, it stays in place and there are no alcohol or fragrance fumes to make your eyes water. It feels a little odd to get passionate about something like a sunscreen, but after trying literally dozens of other products, when I find something so completely effective and satisfying, I feel like I should shout it from the mountaintops.
