Cute concept but not very practical

Conceptually very cute but functionally a little strange. Q-tips fit in this set perfectly but they're a tad too shallow for anything else and why would I need two qtip holders right next to each other? If you're supposed to split them up, why do they sit next to each other on one tray? I was able to wedge tweezers into the queen but they have to sit at an angle and they still push the lid up a bit. I wish the set was a little taller so you could store waxing sticks or something a little bit longer in the second chess piece. My queen also has glaze errors that I initially thought were blood spots (thankfully not the case) Read more

These are a very good quality ceramic set that resembles chess pieces. The ceramic glaze is a matte finish, which gives a more expensive look. They are a little larger than I thought - would definitely work for q-tips or small bathroom items. I will use them in the den where we play games. I’m thinking they will be just the right size to serve M&Ms or jelly beans for 2-4 people. And so, they are attractive to display and are functional. Read more
