This queen box spring is a fantastic upgrade at a great price. It uses a modern slatted metal design instead of traditional springs, which makes it slightly firmer but completely noise-free, no creaking, no sagging, and no boards snapping over time. Assembly was surprisingly simple, just a handful of screws and nuts, and the frame unfolds and goes together quickly with clear instructions. Once built, it feels very sturdy yet remains lightweight enough to move if needed. The included fabric cover gives it a clean, finished look. It fits perfectly in our existing bed frame, supports both my wife and me (plus a kid who loves jumping on the bed), and hasn’t shown a hint of weakness so far. Excellent durability. Sturdy. Accurate size. Excellent support (using a flat board panel on top). It is very easy to assemble according to the accurate instructions. SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED!! - Do NOT gloss over this as I did. This is a sturdy item. Metal box spring as opposed to wood. When it's delivered you're thinkning "there's no way this item is in that box", but it is. I completely glossed over the assembly thing. Lots of screws. Most basic of tools sent to get the job done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND a battery powered driver with an allen attachment. The images I've seen posted here aren't what we received. We received what's actually advertised. Box springs don't actually have springs.. And they're not intended to be comfortable.. Some of the complaints here are whack-a-doodle. It's a mattress lifter/spacer,, that's all. Read more
Super solid once built however definitely recommend 2 people/ a better wrench than the one included- the self locking nuts & wrench included not holding them in place make it a longer process than anticipated to get all screwed in (you have to aggressively stabilize the nut in place against one side while using the Allen key to twist the screw with a lot of pressure on the other.) it’s definitely not coming loose on its own though. The only other complaint I have would be that the cover is only one sided so the metal frame on the bottom & your bed frame may scrape against each other. Very well built and engineered product, very stable. It's a pain to put together, though. TIP: use a ratchet socket combined with provided key wrench to speed things up when tightening the 20 bolt and nuts. Read more
Unless you really like being woken up by tons of squeaks every time you roll over or your spouse does, this thing is garbage. We've taken our bed apart several times now to go in and tighten the screws, add foam padding, and anything else we could think of to eliminate the squeaks. It lasts for a few days then the squeaks come back with a vengeance! This thing is total junk. When we assembled it, some of the welded on tabs snapped, poorly fitting pieces, just a complete pile. We can't return it. I would If I could. Now we have to disassemble and cut in to pieces to throw away. Way too many hours into this. I should have just gone to Depot and got some 2x4's and made my own. Would have save time and money. If it was possible to give ZERO stars, I would. I am so tired of cheap ch*na junk sold here on amazon. Tariff the crap out of everything and make this cheap crap go away. The primary advantage of this "box spring" over a traditional one made of wood is that it can be taken apart. Unfortunately, it should not be called a "spring", since it provides no resilience. The crossmembers that support the mattress are much narrower than wooden slats, so they concentrate the weight of the mattress and sleepers on a much smaller area, which will probably hasten the demise of the mattress. Not all of the parts are locked in place, so it's possible to have them fall out while wrangling the mattress into position. Ask me how I know this. Read more
