I got this during prime deal father's day sale which happens to me my BFs birthday. I got him a bullet smoker and it said that this is a needed accessory. Well the Walmart brand looked so cheap and they were out of all others so I came here to find this even cheaper than the store brand. Very good quality. We have uses it multiple cooks already and left it in the rain on the patio once. Seems rust resistant. The media could not be loaded. I was **brand new** to charcoal grilling at the start of this year but was committed to learning because there is no comparison to that charcoal taste. Using this chimney has been pretty fool proof, even in negative weather in the Midwest! I was hesitant about charcoal grilling because of the stigma that it takes forever to heat up, but I don't think the 10 minute time commitment this takes is anything! My recipe for success (I'm positive theres other ways or tricks, but this has worked splendid for me every time): -Empty ash from grill - remove grate from grill - open damper on bottom of grill - fill the top part of the chimney with charcoal (this is a big chimney so I fill about 3/4 of the way full) and place in bottom of - put chimney in the grill - stuff ripped up paper or cardboard in the bottom part of the chimney and light it - wait about 10-20 minutes (I've grilled in -10 degrees and it took 20 minutes, in more favorable weather it takes about 10), the ones on top start to turn grey - dump into grill and arrange to fit the needs for that grilling session The most frustrating part to me has been fighting a subpar lighter, so a quality lighter is a must! I like that this chimney is large enough to hold a variable amount of charcoal for the times I meal prep for the week and need the whole grate space. EASY to start the charcoal WITHOUT lighter fluid. Newspaper or paper bags is all you need. Less costly to use, we've had ours for over 4 years so I bought my son in law one and he bought one for my granddaughter. Does not rust, easy to store with grill. No smelly lighter fluid on food.
