Firstly, this product is not perfect. However, this product is just simply worth it; there is quite the amazing value, here. The hard drive and the enclosure are of good quality. The sheer abyss of exceptional ROMs on here alone are worth the price. The interface is fun and fast and easy to use. There was quite a bit of love that went into putting this product together. I would suggest getting the controller that is offered with the hard drive. I found that, although I could use an X Box One controller - or any controller, really- the controller they will include with the hard drive (for an extra fee) just seems to work better with the system, overall. Of course, I do prefer using the Xbox controller to play games, in general, so I deal with it. This has a ton of games that will make the experience better if you've got the peripherals for them and are able to connect them to your PC (ex. dance pad for DDR, wii-remotes, flight sticks, etc.) - the games will work with them. -If you've got a light gun system - there is a treasure trove of games to play with. This thing is almost ready to go out of the box. I recommend watching some reviews on this, and reading the manual and the README file, prior to getting started; you may need to install some plug-ins (included on the hard drive) prior to launching the interface. The quality in which you'll get out of this product will depend on your Windows PC setup. This is just a hard drive - not a stand-alone device; you will need a Windows computer to play the games. For most retro and arcade games, I was able to use a low-spec Ryzen3 laptop, with 8 GB of Ram and integrated graphics, and they ran just fine. For the more demanding games, and higher end stuff, you will need a gaming PC with some umph, or you can just forget about getting them to run in a playable state. This is infinitely better than most of the ROM dump retro gaming consoles you will find out there. Although the list is better curated, it is not as cleaned up as it can be, and you'll find duplicates from other regions. Not every game on here loaded, and I have had a few that crashed. However, if you call Kinhank, their tech support will help you get the game to run. Lastly, I'll say this: there is some gray-area stuff on this hard drive (as with many of these devices out there); things I wouldn't exactly classify as retro; things that I would not recommend touching. I really wish they would not put it on there and just add to the library of the recently retro stuff. But, as a retro-gaming device, this is absolutely amazing, and the value can't be beat. Read more

What I like about this item is that you have a vast library of games to choose from and enjoy for hours and hours. The issue lies in that many, so many games do not load, are not configured for a controller, or load up a black screen. It has been a hit or miss situation and the setup does not allow you to make adjustments. I may have gotten a bad one. I am aslo aware emulators are not perfect but as an example many lower end console games run slow and the audio is muffled and higher end system games have run good. This makes no sense. Read more

Just got my hard drive yesterday and I haven't been this happy in years. Playing all of my childhood games and games I have always wanted, are in this beast of a hard drive. 360 games and ps3 weren't booting up for me. Probably because I have a $200 mini pc so I'm not really surprised. Highly recommend the controller too if you don't have a Xbox one controller. So worth the wait and came sooner than I thought.
