Scissors won’t cut, dull right out of the box. Knives stain with water and all easily. Disappointed. Read more
The knives are OK, the holder is not useable. The first thing I noticed is that there is a label with the set - indicating that the foam insert used to hold the knives during shipping must be removed before use. It would have been better if the manufacturer gave you a suggestion on how to do that. You can see from the picture that I provided that the bottom of the holder comes off easily and you might be tempted to simply pull on it to remove the foam. I think it would be safer to remove all the knives, put them aside, and then remove the foam. These knives are extremely sharp, and you need to handle them with care! Although I am not a knife expert, I will say that the knives themselves seem to be of a decent quality. If you intend to use the holder provided for the knives, be prepared to modify it. First, the included scissors are too tight a fit in the slot. If you try to pull them out quickly they will bind and lift the holder, and the entire holder will fall apart. The holder is a light plastic, and too light to prevent the whole thing from being top heavy. The holder comes apart into three pieces too easily. So, if you intend to purchase this set, I recommend that you have a wood knife block available to use. I personally am going to modify this holder by gluing some weights into the bottom part and then either using tape or glue to attach the bottom part so that it no longer comes apart. Basically, it's going to be unsafe if you do not modify it. Read more

I find it very awkward to deal with really large kitchen knives and have been looking for a smaller set. I took a chance on these knives because so little information was provided on their size when I ordered them. I just went by the pictures hoping they would be a good size. They are actually a little smaller than I expected, but that's fine. They are sharp, for sure. The thing that is not so great is that the handles are so lightweight. The blades are serious blades and have a good weight and feel to them. However, the handles feel like cheap plastic - and very lightweight. The handle is so much lighter than the blade that it doesn't balance. The block is also made of plastic and its hollow! When all the knives are in it, its really top heavy. When chopping veggies with them, I find I have to add extra force to get through the vegetable. This slows down my cutting and tires my hand. It's a shame, because the blades and so good. I do use the knives for small jobs, but I have to leave my main cutting to more balanced knives. Read more
If Superman is the Man of Steel, then he better watch out for the Man of Ceramic. I thought these knives were steel but they may be blades of ceramic. When I ordered it I did not know where the ceramic might be. The handles? Perhaps the block? What I am sure of is I just got out of the kitchen faster than I expected. Today, I had to do my usual assigned duty, preparing an uncooked 10 pound lamb roast into cubes for my wife's signature curry. The knife in this set, although smaller than the one I used to use, made short work of the entire lamb. My word of honor, I think I completed the entire roast in half the time. And the tough white layer of thick waxy fat that lamb has, I was able to shave of as if I was a barber or surgeon or both. The knife was super sharp, light and looks like it is gun metal black that will never rust or corrode. The set comes with scissors that cut beautifully too. And a vegetable peeler with the same sharp ceramic blades. Have not tested that yet, but it looks ready to handle any unfortunate potato or carrot that may cross its path. This is a light, beautiful set. The block itself is of light plastic and is not in any way comparable to the weight and substance of my old wood block, but somehow I am not tempted to transfer this set over. It works and holds everything in this set and will be easy to keep clean too. This is a very fine, sharp and impressive set. Happy I had this knife set to do today what was once for me, a very tedious task. I tell you again, with the knife in this set, I cut and trimmed that roast in half the time. Ceramic rocks. Read more
This is a very nice set of kitchen knife for light duty. They are so pretty that is perfect to be used by a student, a girl, or for light food servings. The three knifes are with shorter blades with 6, 5, and 4.5 inches, respectively. They took the nature of the ceramic material with rust free and ultra-sharpness. You can cut virtually everything easily, from fruits, vegetable or sausages. In this kit, there is also a pair of scissors with a black coating for easy cleaning and sharpness. There is also a ceramic peeler with sharp edge for fruit and vegetable. The block is a nice organizer. Read more
These ceramic knives are great, easy to clean and very sharp. The included peeler and scissors are also good quality. The included storage block is, well it's basic. It does the job and also allows for the knives to dry while in the block. I understand the choice for the block as having it this way makes it easy to clean. Still, it's not the most high quality container. Regardless, this set still gets five stars just for the quality of the knives alone. It's a great price for a versatile set and I can easily recommend it. Read more
Although I haven’t had them long, these knives cut really well through most of the things. My other knives were struggling with and they look great on my kitchen side counter. I’ve used for cutting meats, vegetables and then there’s a vegetable peeler. Would make a great gift for any beginner kitchen or small apartment. Read more
