I watched every video, looked at every picture, and read so many of the reviews on this. I still wasn't sure how I'd feel about it. But I absolutely love it! It works so well with all my little "baby" hairs and flyaways (greys mostly lol). I put my hair up in a ponytail most days, but I have some hair that I pull forward to create long bangs down the sides of my face. This stuff has cleaned up my look so much! I also straighten my hair typically twice a week. That's when all the greys really come out to play! I use this up close to my part to pull those down, and was so surprised at how natural it looked! I brushed through it a little, and it didn't feel sticky or tacky, and I barely noticed a smell. It dries quickly, and is so easy to use. I think it's basically just gel on a mascara wand, but it's genius! Too bad I didn't have this in the 80's! I could have had the highest bangs of them all! Read more

Great product, works as described. Controls small areas of frizziness. I do use my hand under the brush head to guide it. No sticky feeling and can't tell it's there by sight or feel. Can't believe how inexpensive it is. Read more

The product itself is great but the brush needs to be improved. The hair gets tangled in it and it defeats the purpose of combing and taming the hair. The actual gel formula is great, it does its job taming flyaways and newborn hairs, while being extremely lightweight, not sticky at all nor greasy, no scent and leaves no residue. Can be worn on untied hair, or when untying after using it it can go back to normal without looking stiff. Please improve the brush!! Read more

Game changer for ballet hair. Superior to hair wax b/c it’s WAY easier to wash out and it’s not hard on my kiddo’s hair. Works great for regular classes and for performance hair. I add a quick mist of Aveda Air Control hairspray overtop, but probably not necessary. Gets all the baby hairs along forehead neatly pulled back, lasts hours— until she takes out her bun. **Recommend using before pinning hair into the bun (while the hair is still in a ponytail) b/c there will be loose flyaway ends you’ll want to conceal as the wand/spoolie can get a little tangled as you pull it away from hair near the rubber band. The hair net/uniform scrunchie can also pull in any loose ends. My kid is white but I think this would work on black hair also. It’s pretty gentle. It’s basically a clear gel that you use a mascara wand to apply. The wand is silicone-looking and has a long and a short side. Short side gets tangled less easily but the long side helps get those flyaways that don’t want to fall into line. Read more

I was genuinely surprised by how well this taming wand works. It does exactly what it claims—it smooths flyaways, tames frizz, and helps lay down baby hairs, especially when your hair is in a bun or slicked-back style. I have a lot of little hairs around my crown and sides (I call it my hair sunflower situation), and this helped create a much more uniform, polished look. The scent is actually really nice, and I love the spoolie-style brush—it’s similar to a mascara wand and makes application super easy and precise. The formula is gel-like, so it does leave a bit of residue and will slightly harden the hair, but that’s expected and not a deal-breaker for me. Now for the downside: the amount of product is very small. The bottle is only 9.5 mL, and with regular use, I realistically see this lasting maybe 2–3 weeks. At around $9.59, that comes out to roughly $1 per mL, which is expensive for what is essentially a small amount of hair gel. It also gets slightly sticky if it gets on your hands, and while it performs well, I can’t justify buying this repeatedly at that price. Honestly, once it’s empty, I’d recommend refilling the container with your own gel and save money. A $5 tub of gel would last way longer. I like the product, but the cost makes it hard to recommend long-term, which is why it earns three stars. Great to try once—but I wouldn’t keep repurchasing it at this price. Read more
